Of course I would but I'm over emotional about my team. Manly were warned and kept doing the exact same thing. It wasn't even 50/50, it was really blatant. They were trying to push their luck for some weird reason. I mentioned the try in the comment you quoted.

I think carrying only 2 forwards on the bench altered the teams tactics a bit.

They went out there with a clear intent to change the tempo of the game so that their big blokes could last longer with slow play the balls.

So whilst I agree that they certainly should have been penalised more than Penrith, that does not change at all the farcical try given to DWZ. Its amateur hour.

I also think 14-4 was excessive.

They were warned and then after subsequent penalties Perenara would say "the warning still stands".

They got warnings for their warnings while the warnings for their warnings still stood on their original warning.

The ironic part is I think if he bins someone they settle down and stop giving the penalties.

I don't think you'll find much argument with the try.

And yet beave conveniently ignores the comments about the forward pass from dce. It evened itself out in the end with a dodgy try being awarded to each team.

Video ref rules on forward passes now with repeated replays?

Sorry, I misses the e-mail.

Didn't "conveniently" miss anything mate. Forward passes are argued about, disputed and disected every game. Picking up on a pattern here?

Not a good player. Kept getting annoyed his younger brother wasn't getting a chance even though said brothers diet was enough to starve all of Africa. Not a good referee.

He reminds me of the Soul Glo guy from Coming to America. Perhaps that should be his new career aspiration.

A couple of those strip calls were pretty poor. However I'm more concerned about Frank Winterstein's late hit on Cleary, which was correctly penalised and Brian Kelly dropping the ball after picking up a loose ball after they'd defended stoutly. It's those sort of errors that cost Manly the game.

Penrith aren't great, as evidenced by only scoring two tries, a barge over and off a bomb. The top teams would've still won that game, even with a penalty count like that. Crucial errors at crucial times cost Manly more than Perenara's ineptness.

The great Manly teams of the past would've won last night by 20+, and if this current side has any aspirations they need to get rid of those brain fades.

Gus said something interesting the other night, amazingly, that one of the referees kpi's is 14 penalties per game. Surely the kpi should be to penalise teams infringing rather than a set number? The lopsided counts dont bother me if it is warranted, one thing i cant stand are the bullshit square up penalties to keep teams in a game.

Like I said in the other thread, I'd like to see his evidence for this claim, before I accepted it as gospel.

A target like this has all sorts of implications, including spot betting, coaching tactics etc.
