Wow, idiot... That said... Some "fans" of the sport... wow... idiots... I honestly found like ten people today who thought this was WORSE than a women being gang raped in a bathroom.... Yeah... Lets arrest all the morons who do stupid things with dogs (but we can assume not harm the dog) while drunk and let the HUMAN rapists free....

Stupid, fine, etc... But honestly... There are people who have been accused of rape still making a fortune from the game... This isn't career ending...

Um, haven't seen any pictures, but what's he doing ?

At first I thought it might have been a simple kind of masturbatory shot (as I've been told was floating around by a former big centre from Canberra), but then I thought may be it's a photo of him blowing himself ?

Then after some of the comments earlier in the thread, I thought maybe f**king a goat or sheep.

Now it sounds like he's getting a blow-job from a dog !!!

In a car park, near Garema Place !

What is happening - couldn't he find a nice quiet area in the bush near Aranda ???

He's got to go either sacked or leaving on his own accord.
I guess we can comfort ourselves by saying that he learnt how to do this at his time with the roosters????:sarcasm:

Yeah they should let him have the sack (which ironically enough is what he let Rover have:D).

As disgusting and unforgiveable as this is, like a lot of others I've had a good laugh at this. But it just puts our game back so much.

My 7yo son who worships the Raiders players will no doubt come home from school tomorrow asking questions about it. Not the type of thing I really want him being exposed to. Also it makes league so much less attractive to sponsors and new fans, particularly for the Raiders. I'm sure the CFMEU aren't happy at all.

The thing I'd like to know is who else knew about this and when? Hopefully whatever punishment dished out to him is because of what he did, and not just that it suddenly became public.

Yep I do feel sorry for Joel, it sounds like a classic under dog story.

p.s is it still considered a gay inter species relationship if the dog is male?

You actually bothered to troll through internet photos for that or is it your background?

I looked up photos of drooling dogs on google but it only came up with photos of something called Wobbygong's mother...

Furore over league star's dog act

BRAD WALTER

THE NRL career of the Canberra Raiders star Joel Monaghan hangs in the balance after he admitted last night to simulating a sex act with a dog.

A photo of Monaghan appearing to receive oral sex from a labrador has been circulating in Canberra for the past week but spread rapidly on the internet yesterday after being posted on the social networking site Twitter.

The incident occurred at the weekend after the Raiders season-ending Friday-night loss to Wests Tigers at Canberra Stadium on September 17, and Monaghan described it as ''a moment of abject stupidity brought about by too much drink and a complete lack of any thought process''.

The Australian representative is unlikely to face criminal charges because bestiality is not illegal in the ACT. However, the controversy prompted RSPCA officials to write to the ACT Chief Minister, Jon Stanhope, calling for the law to be changed following dozens of complaints from people who had seen the photo of Monaghan and the dog on social media networks.

The Coalition federal MP Wyatt Roy inadvertently became embroiled in the scandal as the images were sent to a number of media personalities from a fake Twitter account in his name.

A spokeswoman for Mr Roy said the MP was not aware of the fake account or the photos of Monaghan, whose Wikipedia pages were also tampered with.

The Raiders' chief executive, Don Furner, told a press conference yesterday to launch the Raiders 2011 membership drive that he had not seen the photos but that the club was investigating and wanted to speak to Monaghan, who is holidaying on the NSW south coast.

''We're as dumbfounded as everyone else, and we'll have a talk to Joel when he gets back and have a talk to the players and see what transpires,'' Mr Furner said.

The NRL chief executive, David Gallop, said he was ''shocked and appalled'' at the image circulating and warned the Raiders that appropriate disciplinary action was expected to be taken against Monaghan. "We have a system of allowing clubs to take the initial action in relation to disciplinary issues as they are the employers and we will maintain that principle," Mr Gallop said.
"It is important that the club deals with it appropriately and that it reports to the NRL as soon as possible on the outcomes."

GET OVER IT PEOPLE.
STUPID YES - THE SHAME & BAD JOKES HE WILL GET IT MORE THAN ENOUGH PUNISHMENT.

its not just monaghan that will receive that punishment though, it's everyone associated with the raiders club and even the city itself.

the best solution is to kick him out
