Thanks Lewy, Wade and Moyzzzza**God.
Ive upgraded myself.
It has nothing to do with Penrith being so f-ing nice as you put it. I just asked why one of your supporters thought Penrith is a shit hole?If Penrith is so f**ken nice why do you and Gould choose the Sutherland Shire over it?
Yes it is. It's a dumpIt has nothing to do with Penrith being so f-ing nice as you put it. I just asked why one of your supporters thought Penrith is a shit hole?
I love were I live and I have lived in both areas all of my life. I can only tell you from personal experience that both areas have the good and bad points but Penrith certainly isn't a shit hole.
Yep, great point about the topic.Pretty sure there is thread about this in theNRL section.
The thing is if you come in here stirring shit people will have a crack.
Maybe discuss it with all the experts over there...I’m a regular expert there.
OmfgYep, great point about the topic.
Sorry, I didn't come on here to cause anything. You guys need to stop being so sensitive and realise that some of the clubs issues are in fact caused by the behavior and actions of a few. Reality bites and you can either accept there are issues or stick your head in the sand.
I've read how it's Barry's fault that you can't find a sponsor etc. That poor bloke has got the hardest job in rugby league with the things that have happened at Cronulla in the past 5-6 years. Companies aren't idiots, they only want to part ways with their hard earned if they know they aren't going to be burnt by bad headlines. It is time that the culture changed and it may take 5 years.
Does anyone think they could do a better job to get a major sponsor with the drug stigma, FKL, threatening junior referee's, podcasts, bubbler, salary cap, yelling abuse at the coaches box, road rage etc?
You should be uprising against your club, not some nobody like me who offers an opinion on my perception. Surely I can't be the person or reason for getting your backs up.

"We needed to do this business restructure to ensure our long-term future," Russell told NRL.com.
"We are under financial stresses at the moment that we need to address. Unfortunately this is necessary. I admit the timing is very poor.
"It is sad and I'm very disappointed. And I realise it leaves us with a lean team but we're a very competent group and we're striving hard for a successful 2019 season.
"The financial stability of our organisation is the challenge all NRL clubs have. You want to run a profitable business so we had to make some radical changes internally to head on the right path."
Russell said expenses "across the board" would also be reined in at the club, but there would be no more staff let go.
"That's it as far as staff goes. We've just got to look at every line and be diligent in our spending. There is light at the end of the tunnel – this club has a great future."
Russell said commercial revenue was the next area the club had to maximise efforts.
Opal Solar did not take up their option for 2019 to remain on the front of the Sharks jersey, which brings clubs around $1 million per annum in revenue.
"We've got a number of major properties available (on the first grade jersey). Everyone is working hard behind the scenes to secure some long-term sponsors.
"Our goal is a new front-of-jersey sponsor by the start of the new season. We intend to make that a reality."
Russell told The Daily Telegraph that fans and members would not be affected.
“It won’t affect our salary cap,” he said, “The board is committed to spending 100 per cent of the cap. Our fans expect and will get a long-term sustainable business model.
“Unfortunately a number of our old sponsorship deals were allowed to expire at the same time and our challenges off the field haven’t helped.”
The 10 sackings leave the Sharks with an administration staff of only 12 and all up about 22 including the coaching staff.
“We have financial challenges and our cashflow and our budget forecast had to be addressed,” Russell said “We’re under stress but we’ll get through it.
“We’re just trying to financially responsible and do what’s best for the club’s long term future,
“We have to change our business model.”
Russell said the club’s financial plight had been overdramatised. However, he acknowledged the club had ongoing issues that prompted the need for change.
“I think it has been sensationalised to be honest,” Russell said.
“I am not saying everything is rosy. We have some financial challenges. We have some exciting developments around. The challenge is not to waste that opportunity. For us right now, I think myself that the rumours are overstated.
“I am not trying to hide from the fact that we have financial challenges and have for some time. The challenge for us is to change our business model so we can at least get to break even or make a small profit.”
Asked whether the club would approach the commission about accessing the distressed club fund, Russell said: “That’s not even on the radar for us. There’s been no discussion from us with the NRL around that scenario.
“The NRL has made it quite clear that they will not be bailing out clubs. We’re not expecting that to happen and we’re not asking them. We still have a significant amount of revenue coming in from the development.”
“Obviously they (the NRL) take a close interest in not only our club but all the clubs,” Russell said.
“It’s fair to say they have some concerns around the Sharks. We’re communicating with them regularly... We need to watch our costs. It’s no secret that most clubs lose money. But the thing is that most of them are privately owned or have big licensed clubs.
“We need to bite the bullet and make changes. We need to make tough decisions now.”
Thanks Lewy, Wade and Moyzzzza
Then Buzz sacked him.....while on the subject of the old dribbler....see he made no mention of the 2019 memberships being up over 20% on this year.Irvine got more sacked
A couple of doctors a few trainers most of the footy team and the coach
There was a girl who worked her butt off behind the scenes for the club named Jess. Does anyone know if she has been let go?
I think one is nearly due after all of this settles. Plenty to discuss.
What an off season. FMD.
I thought you guys were 'persona non grata' at the club?
Haha! Thought that might have been the case. Not since recent events!
I already said Thanks GusYou're welcome. Don't say Penrith didn't do our part to try and keep you guys alive, weve been feeding you leftovers for years.
