Face of the game
He really is isn't he. Also he is starting to get the superstar calls now like JT and co would get. So weird to have someone like this at our f**king club.

Love him. Can't believe how we - if a bloke would not be much chop. No money. Nothing fancy... Just left a 3/10 who broke our balls every week and we all hated then walked into a relationship with a super model who loves BBJs is DTF and loves us just as much as we love him. What the f**k. 10 years ago we were watching Jeff Robson. We just went through the Chadolution lesss goh while I promote my shit beer. Now we have THAT guy(or girl in my example IDK too many acronyms FFS)

It is so funny when you have one eyed supporters of other clubs coming up to you and start mentioning what a top player Nicho is. Like a Monte Carlos for how many times I have heard, "I wish Nicho was at our club".

I talked to someone in the know about how Nicho is a genuine superstar of the NRL, and asked if the club actually realises what they have and what kind of sponsorships they can get by having him there. The reply I got was, I don't think they do. Fitzy does but they don't.
They should be lining new sponsors up to have Nicho part of them.
Imagine what Uncle Nick would be doing with him.

I think that is a work in progress. Think about when we landed him to now..

Nicho they thought they would get vs what they have now is so different. It has happened fast when you zoom out. You don't sign many 23/24 year old play makers with under 30 games or so who become the face of the game. No textbook for it. Give it another six or so months and I reckon they will be really working the new face of the game.

We did start this pre season with our sponsorships sold out for kit though I will say.

That's fair mate, and I hope you are right. I would hope that somewhere in the big end of town some mobs would want to invest.

Dino and uncle Nick are very close. I’d say there would be some talks happening there. Guidance

One of the best signings the club has made both on and off the field, in my decades watching the Sharks.

Particularly when one considers over the many years some player's off field antics left me absolutely appalled.

Hynes is really what the game is all about, I'll just leave it at that.

Good, well let's bank the most bankable star the NRL has to offer, by-a long-fecking-way. And become one of those strong clubs that we keep hearing about that they want to become.

I’ve said it before on another thread - imagine being a forward in Nichos team. You’d run through walls for him, you’d be prepared to pretty much kill for him, you’d protect him at all costs…. He’s ours, we will protect him, and we will lay a platform for him to shine….
It’s a bit weird, because he’s a half back, and I’m very much a forward (and therefore love my hard nosed forwards), but I think Nicho is possibly the most inspirational player I’ve ever seen. It’s everything, his style of play, the fact he’s fearless and happy to put his body on the line, but then there’s his off field story and persona - I think the best way I can put it is that he is everything you’d want your son to grow up to be, or your daughter to bring home as her fella.

The other thing I really love about Nicho’s play is that he’s not a robotic half back. There is a shyte load of unpredictability in his game. He’ll execute the set plays but he’ll also play what he sees and if he sees an opportunity he’ll put in a little kick behind the defence or run instead of passing because he sees an opportunity. He’s got great composure and he’s relentless. He’s an 80minute player he doesn’t drift in and out of games like a Mitch Moses etc.

Nico will head up the United Nations and bring peace to the world.
Nico will find the Higgs Boson particle and unite the universe.
Nico should be given all of Cronulla from Bundeena to Boat Harbour. But then he will just give it to the people.
Kalyn Ponga wants to be the string on Nicos budgies.
Reece Walsh should learn from Nico.

we have the new king.
Nico Ledger .
Aragorn Hynes. The king to unite us all.

Look this prayer is a repost. But as all good prayers go..like the silky hands of the Nico. Repetition.

Dearest Nico,

May I stay in the day.
Relive me of my worship of lesser teams.
May I strive to be a man like you.
Resplendent in the morning sun in my budgies on-the beach.
May the light of the never ending steeden bless our souls with two points from the side line .
May the Preston Medal shine its light across all who play, and don’t play.
Let the Daly M guide me to the promised land and not be a heathen as Munster at the door.

May the turf on the halls of eternal superiority over lesser teams teach me humility, as it has you Nico.

May I know that even though I am mortal, l am one with you.

The highest of high.
The smuggler of the budgie.

Nico.
🙏
