Agreed. He totally deserved it, and was well aware of the danger. Garbutt gave him plenty of time to respond.
Garbutt was just sticking up for the veteran in his pack.

A couple of blokes punching on during a game of footy is alright with me.

What happened to Tamou was not a couple of blokes punching on. It was a dead set cheap shot and Garbutt should have got at least 6 weeks for it.

It's one thing to hit a bloke who knows that its coming and can react / respond. It's a completely different thing to just run in and drop someone who has no idea that its coming.

Superleague is a joke because it's not at same level as NRL? Pretty strong statement. Do you consider 95% of professional soccer around the world a joke because it's not as strong as EPL?

You have to realise the $ difference of what is in the game in uk to Australia is massive and the competition for jnrs much much greater in England.

Now two champion sides at end of last season going toe to toe might have been a more interesting game. Leeds are in massive rebuilding this year.

If the WCC was played 2-3 weeks after the NRL GF, we would have been without Feldt, Matt Scott and about 2-3 others. There was quite a few Cowboys that were just waiting for the season to finish to go in for surgery. IMO a proper test series at the end of each season should be the focus to try and get the game in the UK up a notch or 2. The utter shit we saw on the weekend is not the way to bring them up to our standard. I want the game over there to thrive but having 3 utter blow outs like that are not the answer. Couple in the fact Leeds were without a host of players that were there last year, cowboys playing only one trial against the Blackhawks in the lead up....... The weekend was pointless.
