I think to say that the AFL are ignorant and will find it tough is just giving yourself false hope..
as i said in another post.. the AFL will waltz in to West Syd.. pay no respects and pull more fans and bigger crowds on day 1.
Which we will all hate.. but it will happen.. gurantee it.
Unless Hindy shotguns every AFL fan dead at the gates lol
Isn't Gavin Shiney in California searching for AFL stars yet?
Agree - in a sensible manner as you quite correctly noted.
If we expand in the botched up way that AR has like some here demand *cough* Perth Red *cough* we'll be cactus well before Heather loses his final strand of hair.
The saying does go all publicity is good publicity. But to show such ignorance of your target market isn't a smart idea.Gee - Some people are easy to fool..
Of coarse he knows who Hindmarsh is..
But if he admitted that...No one here would have said "AFL" "Kevin Sheedy" or "GWS" all day long...
Don't take the bait...

Actually I don't think they will fail. The AFL will make sure of that, they will pour millions of dollars into that team until its successful like the Swans.
Apparently they have already sold out their NAB Cup game against Carlton to be played at Blacktown.
One of the first rules of war is know thine enemy.
However, the AFL is deadly serious about establishing in rugby league heartlands and is there for the long haul. We can either take it seriously and fight back, or become a secondary competition quarantined largely to Sydney and Brisbane. Some people, including Ray Hadley, seem to like the idea of a retreat to the heartlands. I don't. Our game has proved it has the potential for a genuine national reach but to attract the corporate and media backing for this it must to continue to examine opportunities for expansion.
The AFL will soon have TWO teams in league's heartlands. At the same time, many league supporters say melbourne is a waste of time and should be scrapped. I say let's put out a plan for a team in perth, sooner rather than later, and in the medium term a second team in Victoria.

his ignorance of the size of the challenge facing Aussie Rules.
These AFL boys will come waltzing in.. pay little respects and yet pull
