As far as I'm aware, we paid overs for Houston, Wicks ( especially Wicks contract ), Luke MacDougal, and even De Gois ( who is a fine player but we really had to break the bank to get him to the Knights ).

Ben Hunt is the guy we should be targeting. /A high quality half, young, grwat organisational skills, can offload in traffic and can kick.

He was brilliant in the NYC grand final last year and carved up Easts in the QLD Cup last week.

An opportunity for first grade, Walsh contract money and we would have a half for the next 10 years.

In regards to Smithy, we are much better placed with him than Hages. At least he has brought players of some potential to the club which will turn into regular first graders unlike the likes of Tanner, Lowrie, Reyoldson, Price, the list goes on.

With Peter Wallace signed up long term, Ben will either have to wait or play out of position if he wants to play 1st grade. With that in mind there's a chance for a team like us to say here's 150k and the opportunity to play 1st grade in the number 7 jersey.

think it was Toohey's column yesterday which claimed the Knights would only have 75K from Ealsh leaving as they had alreday paid him for half the season. doesn't really leave much to throw around for an NRL player....but it would have been nice if Jesse Royal was still at Kurri.

Hunt is good but we should be targeting Beau Henry from the Dragons he is a great young half.
