As another tumultuous year draws to a close I have been reflecting on where we are at.
The forum has been down on numbers a bit this year but I have always preferred quality over quantity; perhaps the Warriors are moving to this way of thinking too.
I think the time for excuses is well gone: time for the Warriors to perform.

I have just been updating the Honors Board and seeing some of the names of members who were regulars on here just a few years ago.
Where have they gone?
I would love to know.
Some go missing for a few years and then return, like Beavers Headgear, others we don't hear from again.
If you are reading this and are in this category drop in and say Hi. We would love to know you are OK.
And to the newer members like Smash Em Bro, welcome along, we value your opinions and company.

On to a few acknowledgements:
To those of you who run and tally our various competitions. Thank you, we all appreciate your efforts.
One Warrior for keeping our "Roster Changes" up to date. Without him I would be lost with the comings and goings. Thanks.
Phillip Smith and his helpers for the entertaining "Game Day" threads.
Blair for his "Nrl summary" threads. Always entertaining and keeps us up to date. (Good luck with the fires this year.)
Big Marn and mikeob for their new competition which I know takes a lot of time.
Meth for running the 3-2-1 thread. Well done, I know it takes a big effort. (Funny how when we win the numbers of voters swells - let's hope you have a busy year mate.)
League Nut. For providing us with insightful stats, excellent quizzes and answers to all the questions we can't put our fingers on
Hopefully next year allows Rhythm and Sealth and his mate "Fan in the stand" to return along with vvvrules and his "Weekly Match Results".

Lastly, thank you to all our members. You guys, and hopefully some gals, are what make this a great place to hang out.
Thank you also to my fellow moderators MKEB and Meth who I am sure will join me in wishing you and your families a Merry and safe Christmas and a great 2022.

Onya Oz. Only you would get dressed up for a selfie. Still in the far north?

If the forum has been down in number, it would probably be an equal mix of COVID making life more hectic (and thus a forum less of a priority) and the Warriors disappointing as per usual.

mainly lockdowns meaning huge stress, at least for us in the north

Let's hope for a better 2022 - best wishes all, and big thanks to Rich and the other generous people making this possible

Agree, I think for a lot of people COVID has made them think about their lives a bit more, you would have thought sport would be a good escape, but I watched less live games and spent it with kids during daylight hours games. I suspect a winning team has more live games watched.

Anyway everyone have a safe and merry Christmas.
Looks like Covids not going away anytime soon.

Have a good one all

Micistm that used to post here completely lost all faith and pulled back on watching the footy, and has upped sticks and headed back to the west coast to settle

Have a great Xmas everyone and here's to a better 2022, warriors included. After 1.5 years of hiding from COVID back in NZ (and having a great time whilst doing that), I just returned to Asia - back in Bangkok. Time to get back to normal life as much as possible. Cheers

Merry Christmas all. This was my first year posting but long time follower of the forum. I've also been a tragic Warriors fan since the beginning. My wife and I had season tickets for 7 years when we lived in Auckland but since we have moved to rural South Island, I've resorted to Sky. Always some insightful and/or entertaining reads to be found here. Thanks to all who are contributors to making it that way. Here's to a successful 2022!

Merry Christmas from this little cabin in the snowy north (of Michigan, USA) :)

the whole Covid thing has been pretty surreal for me, being more in the thick of it in Sydney but also less affected than many as I worked right through it (been busier than ever) and in a long distance relationship with my American gf so my life for the last year and a half was just work, saving, FaceTime calls and trying to make travel plans. Finally all paid off in mid December when I jetted off over here for a couple of months, luckily I got out of Sydney just before the omicron shitstorm hit. hope you’re all having a good one with your loved ones.

Merry Xmas from miserable Sydney. Weather has been surprisingly cool, overcast and on and off rainy so outdoors stuff limited.

So a good time to be had overseas with a nice friend to make you laugh!

Bring her and cabin back with you!
