PARRAMATTA halfback Jeff Robson will be reassessed today due to a hamstring problem ahead of tonight's clash with Wests Tigers. Robson has been struggling this week, which could allow Daniel Mortimer to return to NRL football.
Reni Maitua would likely be shifted from the interchange bench into the halves should Robson be ruled out, but Mortimer might be included on the bench.
The Tigers may get an even better player back, with five-eighth Benji Marshall training yesterday and a strong chance of playing. The Tigers will wait to see how Marshall, who was not named due to a knee injury, responds after yesterday's workout.

Jacob Miller would likely make way should Marshall play.

Gold Coast have lost Greg Bird to play the Warriors following Wednesday night's State of Origin. Bird pulled up sore for the encounter, but Queensland's Ashley Harrison will play tonight at Mt Smart Stadium. Centre Esi Tonga has been ruled out with a groin injury.
Mat Rogers has been added to the squad, following the club's SOS to him, and looks a chance of making his return. Centre Dominique Peyroux has also travelled, although coach John Cartwright will not finalise his squad until today. The Warriors are expected to be as named.

Cronulla prop Kade Snowden remains in doubt to play Canberra tomorrow, having been ruled out of the Sharks' last-start victory against South Sydney with a back complaint. Captain Paul Gallen is also in some doubt with a rib injury sustained in Origin. Both players, though, are hopeful of being fit to play. The Raiders are expected to be 1-17.

Canterbury hooker Michael Ennis will not play against Melbourne in Adelaide tomorrow, after suffering bleeding on the lung for NSW. Dene Halatau will likely start at hooker. Ben Roberts has been added to the squad and, along with Kris Keating, may get some time at hooker.
Melbourne's Origin trio of Cameron Smith, Billy Slater and Cooper Cronk are expected to back up.

Penrith's Origin pair, Petero Civoniceva and Luke Lewis, will join the squad ahead of the Panthers' clash with the Roosters on Sunday, however a decision on whether they will play will be made closer to the match. The Roosters are expected to be 1-17, with Mitchell Pearce, Anthony Minichiello and Nate Myles emerging from Origin unscathed.

A decision will also be made on the fitness of Manly's Anthony Watmough and Glenn Stewart closer to the Sea Eagles' clash with South Sydney on Sunday.
The Rabbitohs are expected to be as per program.

North Queensland have lost halfback Johnathan Thurston for at least a month following his knee injury on Wednesday night. Ben Jones may replace him against Newcastle on Monday night, although the Cowboys also have issues with their hooker Aaron Payne (finger).

Centre Willie Tonga has been ruled out with a torn bicep. Gavin Cooper is likely to play in the centres, possibly allowing 18th man Cory Patterson to debut for the Cowboys. The Knights' representative duo and Kurt Gidley are set to play against the Cowboys, while halfback Jarrod Mullen is still on track to make his return from a torn pec.

for me, i'd be worried that he was "kept out of the loop" in regards to the signing of sandow vs keeping sutton..

big worry when your future coach doesn't get a say in what key cattle he'll have to play with..

We were good enough to beat your side a few weeks ago, so with your dumb f**k logic what's that say about the broncos?

that was a game of water polo not league. We have beaten you guys plenty more times LOL@$ouths.

You see we have won 6 premierships since 1988 and pretty much make the finals every year.

LOL@$ouths make the finals every 10 years or so.

So please dont compare a great club like the broncos with this joke of a club.

broncos 2010 your team was over the cap when you won (6) titles with bennett, i am just wondering why you was not audited back in those days?very strange indeed?or may that happen in the future?

anyway we have won more premierships than any other team (20) so whats it feel to be on 7th position in winning premierships from (1988-2011)? Wow your (80) years behind in real footballing tradition your so far behind buddy souths have never been on 7th position in premierships since we kicked off rugby league in australia in 1908 so that makes the broncos not much does it?.

South sydney rabbitohs are the most winningest rugby league team in australian history since 1908 can you match that with 103 years history tradition broncos 2010? i am afraid not no you cant:lol:actually your team should not even be put in the same breath or line as the no1 team in australia the mighty south sydney rabbitohs.

Mcrae won a championship 8 years before he came to the NRL. That's an eternity in coaching. Maguire might have 2 champions in the 2 years immediatley preceding his time in the NRL.

And was anyone describing Mcrae as a 'genius' for his time as an assistant coach with the Raiders?

Massive differences between the two.

i was..

So what is your point bro? Neither the rabbitohs administrators nor the players or suppoters come up with the odds of 8-1. It was bookmakers. I guess they got it wrong as bookmakers do everyday of the week every minute of the day. Just tune to the racing channel mate if you want some examples bro.

What an odd thread. You realise Hoffman was at Melbourne when Maguire was? Lima possibly too.

i thought the same thing too jerkface.. but didn't want to say anything cause i'd be accused of trolling..
