Classic garbage.
f**k it's gonna be funny when he's free to play.
People referring to it as getting off the charge have got it all wrong
He didn't do anything.

He didn't do anything you say? Well that complete forensic analysis is one for the CID.

Don't get me wrong,I'm looking at the tackle as a neutral supporter and not someone who is death-riding the Broncos.

He is after all a "personality player" that either people love,or love to hate.

If he plays in the game, and crack us up with his antics via Roy & H.G's call, him beating the charge would have been worth it whether Brisbane win or lose.

I simply can't see him beating the charge due to the MRC's stance so far this year.

If you can give me a concise and evidence applied reason to why he should get off,I'd love to see it.

Even if I had money on Brisbane to win the premiership,I wouldn't be too keen on Hodges escaping a one match ban. That is how confident I am that he will not be playing on Sunday.

On his quad, and then on his hip. Never between his legs.

Hodges will probably still cop a week for this - so be it, but make no mistake - Guerra's actions were the main contributing factor for him being in a dangerous position. He did a front flip.

Have you even watched the incident beyond that gif?

Look at it from the other side, and then tell me where his hand is.
And I don't even care if Hodges gets off or not. But he has a hand firmly around his crotch, and another hand lifting a leg - it is textbook suspension for lifting tackle stuff.

Yep, seen all angles.

Look at it from the other side, and then tell me where his hand is.
His right hand is between Guerra's legs

And I don't even care if Hodges gets off or not. But he has a hand firmly around his crotch, and another hand lifting a leg - it is textbook suspension for lifting tackle stuff.

His hand was on his thigh and then moves up to his hip. Never between his legs as you suggested earlier. This is not a textbook lifting tackle either as the tackled player jumped and flipped.

If it was a simple case of a player jumping then Hodges arms wouldn't have moved the way they have in a driving motion

Not textbook until the player being tackled is placed in a dangerous position ...ultimately being dropped head first into the ground.

It's all over for hodges

Not even lifting his leg. More like lifting his ankle. And that gives way easier leverage for tipping someone up!

I don't want Hodges to miss the final, but I also don't want the NRL judiciary system to be any more laughable. He has to miss this game else for the next 10 years every man and his dog will be citing the Hodgo incident to get off tipping tackles.

The flip side is if Hodges gets suspended are the refs going to penalize a player every time he lifts a leg like that, which is 1 in 4 tackles in the game probably.

The anti Broncos butthurt brigade has come out to shine in this thread.
Guerra jumps end of story
Hodgo to play and the tears to flow from the usual suspects
It's gonna be epic in here

I'm not so sure he will get off. Unfortunately the judicary is a roll of the dice. Can easily go either way for no other reason than it's the nrl judicary who's form makes Sandow look like JT.

When everyone was watching the game live, thousands of fans' instantaneous thoughts at that time would have been a dangerous tackle.Exactly what the judiciary will see at the hearing.

People that are behind Hodges are expecting the judiciary to see something different that made them charge Hodges in the first place which in itself,is absurd.

And this is the situation were the judiciary finds itself on a historical basis.

They cannot recently bar two players from playing in a grand final, especially when one of them was the oz captain were there were calls from everywhere for Smith to get off, then all of a sudden expect to give leniency to a player just because of popular opinion.

We have been consistently f**ked by the judiciary since 1988.
The Broncos are due for a fair decision.
Therefore Hodges to play and the butthurt to dominate this thread.
I can't wait

Hodges shouldn't be suspended just because some other players got suspended from a grand final, just like Hodges shouldn't get off because it's his last game and it's the grand final.

The tackle should be judged on it's own merits, hopefully it will be, there is opinion each way as to what way that should be, and it seems evenly divided.

Yeah, it's evenly divided between broncos fans and other people who saw a player get dumped on his head in a tackle, which will generally be a suspension

That is taking my comments a little too literally,Kiwi.

Of course they are going to judge on whatever merits it may or may not have. But I don't see any that favours Hodges.

They ruled on what was presented. And both of those incidents were very clear and cut cases,as is Hodges' case. And as a result, the players were penalised accordingly.
