Hodges view from the sideline next week

I am still confused as to why he isn't attending the judiciary for a second charge of making physical contact with a referee...

I couldn't agree more. Whilst I don't like seeing any player miss a gf due to suspension, including Hodges, I find it a complete disgrace that this hasn't been highlighted. We lost Moa for a week for the exact same thing. The mrc is a farce.

Guerra can tell the judiciary that Hodges visits his sick grandmother in hospital and is about to find the cure to cancer, would make no difference. They do NOT listen to the testimony of an opposition player trying to get off a player.
It will be based on the facts, not his mate trying to get him into a GF.
Don't lift players by the leg to create a situation when a dangerous position can be created. He did. Suspension coming.

.

Michael Buettner, head of the MRC, disagrees. He said that the judiciary will certainly allow Guerra to attend and give evidence, which will be decisive in determining "whether Guerra was the main contributor and Hodges was a victim of circumstances"

those are his words.

Nice words from Buettner, but in my opinion, all rhetoric.

Players have gone to the judiciary before with their mate in tow to get them off. All for nothing.

Guess we find out tonight!

Lol. Roosters fans certainly are in a difficult position.

On one hand they would have to admit that their team play for penalties (as Guerra has admitted to doing) despite their high horse stance throughout the year that their team doesn't do that.

On the other hand they would have to accuse their own player of lying about playing for a penalty in order to help a mate.

Tricky one either way.

Half expecting "sack guerra" threads over at the chookpen.

He doesn't want to be known in Origin camp as the bloke that got him suspended apparently.

No it won't.

They will go through the motions and listen to the arguments from both sides ... Before going to the back room and picking there verdict out of a hat...

Not really. Guerra has proven time and time again that he puts QLD ahead of all else. His season ended this year once origin 3 was over and he hasn't played a good game since.

Most Roosters fans were hoping Guerra would be let go to help us retain RTS.

No doubt it is the latter. Trying to help his QLD teammate play a GF which is the honourable thing to do.

If not we may need to ask souffs fans how they deal with it since GI is the one that turned this into an artform. It feels like he attempts it in almost every tackle where he isn't trying to steal a couple of extra metres.

To simplify the issue.

Was he put into a dangerous position?

He didn't put himself in that position as it is impossible for a player to levitate, then drive himself towards the ground.

My first impression was that it didn't look any different than any other illegal tackle.

And after viewing it again via IBM's vid link,Hodges does have a case to answer for.

People are saying his other leg kicked up.That is because of the position he was put in.And the mechanics of the human body will always give way if you are unbalanced.

But the main point here is simple and straightforward, that the judiciary will have no other recourse but to penalise Hodges for one week due to him being put into a dangerous position.

Classic garbage.
f**k it's gonna be funny when he's free to play.
People referring to it as getting off the charge have got it all wrong
He didn't do anything.
