* Wests Tigers' captain Brett Hodgson will finish his career in England after accepting a long-term deal with a Super League club, believed to be Huddersfield.
The Tigers were only prepared to offer Hodgson a one-year extension, leaving the former NSW fullback to explore his options.
Joining Hodgson in England next season will be Parramatta hooker Mark Riddell, who has been released from the final year of his contract to join Wigan

the australian newspaper

good luck to him i would hate to see him play with another NRL side .i heard souffs were keen to get him.

Jeeez, the lesson here kiddies is don't ever accept the Tigers captaincy - it is a sure sign that you are on the way out the door!

Can't say I'm surprised or even disappointed cause I knew it would come to this. I'll just wish him all the best and try to bear the pain for the next couple of seasons. McDonnell to fullback next year, you reckon?

He has been outstanding for us. But will be 31 at the beggining of next season and all those beatings will have to catch up with him sooner or later. I'm glad to see he's not going to another NRL club. I can only hope that Blake Lazarus is the one tipped to fill his shoes but for some reason I reckon I'm dreaming!

Blake Lazarus looked very likely didn't he. LEd the stats in a lot of categories and was a more than handy goalkicker. Good luck to Hodgo. He has been back to his best this year after a very ordinary 07 when his knee rehab was stuffed in the 06 off season.

As an aside I don't think he should have been made captain - it really needs someone in the middle - I'd have Farah or Heighno as captain.

Banners I hear ? The WTF will be frothing and getting the sheets, crayons and spray paint as we speak. The hardware stores of Minto and Narellan will be braced for a thieving spree

Good guy, great player and great clubman. Also probably good to see him get out while still up their with the best.

As for next year, their is no choice, our man Shines has his man Junior Burger even if we signed a player like Wade Mckinnon he would still get the no1. Next year Sheens will only have to think about 15 players every tuesday because Morris and junior burger will be a shoe in every week

Don't fret it mothy you will have your chance to salivate too...

Says Mr Sheens with a wry smirk on WTV:

"I'm sure my time will come too, just quietly..."

Surely you can read something into that for us?

The man is a pathological bullsh*tter
`He will be our cooper cronk'
`Royce could outcoach them all'

There are 2 statements that shows the man talks (and thinks) utter sh*t

Sheens' time won't come for a year at least thanks to Mr Noyce saddling the club with a new contract for Mr 38%

By the sounds of it you blokes are in the hunt for Brent Webb.

He might not re-sign with Leeds after interest from a couple of NRL clubs - West being the major suitor.
