Can I just say that for all our insightful armchair observations, the coaching team that sticky has will be right onto it. Didn't we employ some video guru this year ? You can bet that sticky and the boys would have broken down and timed every pass and every ruck play to the millisecond.
They will be fully aware of the limitations of certain players in certain positions.
When the great purge of 2014 arrives, all these woes will be addressed.

Correct - which is why there's been talk of Robbie Farah and the Eels since the moment Sticky turned up and started watching us play.

I'm as hopeful as you are that the "great purge" of 2014 will result in the "great intake" of classy players in required positions, HOWEVER the "great stay away" from Parra seems to be the modus operandi at the moment.


Realizing how crap Matt Keating is takes some time. It sort of grows on you the longer you watch. At first you think "oh well, one or 2 bad choices, but he can do a bit of everything". But the longer it goes, the more you realize that the dumb options just keep getting taken, and for some reason he just can't pass fast.

Just noticed that Farah is 29 !

Didn't think he was so old, would it be wise to be tieing up all of our money on a guy who could only be at the top of his game for a couple more seasons?

Apart from farrah/ smith and maybe Enis there aren't many hookers on huge money, which indicates there is a decent supply of hookers in the comp that are able to play at a decent level ( as opposed to half backs which cost a small fortune even ones with limited nrl experience) and I don't think we need to spend a large chunk of our cap on a hooker. There are plenty of options out there which wouldn't cost the world.

Calm down chief. It is not uncommon for some players to play multiple positions. Personally, I love a good 'move somebody to another position' post.
