Will miss Hopkins passion and commitment to our team while he was here...

As for the hoppa minister thing....could you imagine John Hopoate as a minister in parliament!

Quite religious actually.

"I'm delighted to be a team leader," Hopoate said. "Hopefully I can help the boys steer clear of the mistakes I made. It's important players like me and 'Walks' help them through the tough times."

Hopoate is also asking players to spend more time in religion.

LDS Rugby Player Reforms, Gains Teammates' Respect
Just one year ago, LDS professional rugby player John Hopoate had a reputation for trash-talking and nightclubbing. But now he has reformed, rejoined the LDS Church and gained the respect of his teammates. And the team may be seeing a side benefit of his lifestyle change; the team is second in the standings, winning six games and tieing two.

Whether or not its helping him is another thing?

uummm! yes.

I work with an immidiate member of the Hoppa family and I found out what Albet was doing last week! talk about dedication. Apparently he knocked back a big from both the Roosters and the Raiders.

I can also reveal something else about John that would freak everyone out!!!...but I won't ;-) ;-)

nup!! we didn't make him an offer.

infact I've just been told that he may even go to Wigan as Moanly haven't offered him a big deal.

Re Hopkins - his form has been excellent of late. I was really impressed with his gave last weekend. Figures - he's looking for a new contract!

Geez I hate it when players find form when they are seeking contracts!

On Lee he hasn't signed with anyone yet he still hasn't given up hope of getting a better offer than what has already been given to him by 2 clubs in the NRL, but he will give the Eels the last chance in gaining his services for next season - But in saying that they are no where near what he could get playing in France they have apperantly offered to give him a Villa on top of a nice salary, but given Stapelton has gone to the Bulldogs and Vella could be heading to the Tigers :( they could make him a better offer than what he already has recieved (well he hopes for one anyway)
