Most fans seem to only want success, and thus they decide to hate any player that supposedly plays badly. The crap said about Mortimer and Robson is particularly ridiculous, saying that they are the reason we didn't make the finals, yet last year's finals run was all on the back of Hayne, Mortimer and Robson did nothing. And if we had untested rookies like Humble and Mitchell in there all year, we would have made the top four...
Players like Burt, Reddy, Mortimer, Grothe, Keating ARE Parramatta, and if you don't support the players, then you support nothing.
Saying that though, Tahu turned his back on the Eels to piss off to a rival code, then badmouthed our game while he was over there, then turned himself into a complete hypocrite by coming back to our game and criticising then, and then in the space of a month saying that the Blues jersey is the pinnacle then walking away from that as well. Then of course, whinged about his former coach after the shameful sacking incident, all while playing poorly throughout the year, including a ridiculous brain explosion which ended in a sin-binning and suspension, letting down his teammates just because he was a little angry.
On those terms, Tahu deserves what criticism comes his way. If he wants to show that he is a true Eel, he should shut his mouth, knuckle down and start playing for his teammates again.
