Free world Sarah..You will learn that as you develop into a 'grown up'...
PLUS I enjoy the interaction with Eels forum members.

AND Twizzle will defend to the death my right to express my views.

I am free to post on here as long as Twizzle remains healthy. You're not feeling crook are you Twiz...????

Shouldn't posts about teams other than Parra and unrelated to the original topic be put in the swamp?

Sarah after 50 years of supporting the one Club..it is hard to go Cold Turkey..I have to wean myself off it. I have no trouble at all with the Eels players or with the forum...just can't support the Board that is running the joint...too much treachery for me....too many leaks, too big an agenda.
The place ain't what it used to be.

Pete,

While i know you have a right to support whoever you want, i still believe you do not know the definition of 'support'.

We as supporters of the Parramatta Eels have to stick with them through thick and thin regardless of what problems they are facing. Dont forget that players, boards, coaches come and go but the team we support, that team that we devote so much of our time to ,will always be there.

Since you finished off with a quote, i'll leave one for you too.

Anyone can support a team that is winning - it takes no courage. But to stand behind a team to defend a team when it is down and really needs you, that takes a lot of courage.

Believe me Sarah...I DO..Been there, done that.
Been there and yelling during the time when semi final play offs were never an option, only thing we had was a firm grip on the wooden spoon.
I can remember jumping the fence, and getting caught by security and told to go back until the end of the game. I can remember the players do a lap of honour when they won the toss....
I have got a memory of games played in the early sixties, games I can still see in my head atm. I've been through the lot..the good the bad the ugly. Loved every minute of it. BUT I cannot continue to give support to this leaking ship, cat calling mob that masquerades as a Board.
I admire people like you though, Sarah. Don't let a cranky old buggar like me deter the way you follow YOUR team and Club. I enjoyed the experience for 50 years..Lost the passion now...happens when you get older...

So true.
pete's just being his usual drama queen self.
I'll bet when we win the comp next year, "Parra" won't be wearing a green jersey at any BBQ's in Hay.

Suity
on a serious note pete, you can still support the team and players (even if its only in your heart) without giving a cent to the board or helping them in any way

Yes... I second this. Can the mods please move Pete's green machine drivel to the swamp??

Pete's been packed and ready to jump ship for a while now.... The board saga is a convenient excuse :)
