I enjoyed the first one much more. It was pretty damned good as far as horror goes. It was genuinely scary. Well it was back then lol.

i like the 2nd it was like the 1st mixed with the 3rd

all 3 were classics

and i heard bruce campbell is making a new movie , he gets mistaken for ash and he has too try and save the small town from evil mosters

its called "my name is bruce"
B Movie Legend Bruce Campbell is mistaken for his character Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy and forced to fight a real monster in a small town in Oregon.

also theres a ED4 gonna be done ,rumors are raimi is coming back for it :)

AILD?

I've seen that BTK film.
It's rubbish too.
Wasn't the guy from Jackie Brown in that?
It wasn't Kane Hodder, he plays Jason Voorhees, big guy.

And I thought Evil Dead 3:Army of darkness was the very begining of the down-fall in horror film.
It started the rot by introducing light comedy to horror film which killed it.
I hate Army of Darkness.

Listen......someone from the states mentioned a movie to me the other day which I had completely forgotten about.

Dark Knight of the Scarecrow.

dark-night-of-the-scarecrow-movie-poster-2-small.jpg

I remember the video cover to this film, does anybody else?
But I'll be damned if I can remember the movie.
I used to be fascinated by the video cover especially the mouth piece of the scarecrow which I thought was a pipe.
I used to look at this video cover in a trance for hours.

I'm glad you guys dredged this thread back up.
I thought it was a classic and bought back many memories.

I'm currently on a Tom Atkins trip.
I've ordered Maniac Cop and Leathal Weapon.
I bought Bruiser and season one and 2 of The Rockford Files. (Classic television.)
I even managed to get hold of a rare Fangoria #22 book with the Halloween 3:Season of the Witch cover on it.
My most treassured items are the Halloween 3 CD movie sountrack and same novel by Jack Martin.

I'm on an '80's trip currently as TV today is pure guano.
I can't believe the path entertainment has gone down.

I can't get hold of the DVD's Creepshow or Night of the Creeps in Australia anywhere.
I thought I had night of the creeps on video some where but turns out I had Night of the comet (which was total BS.)

Oh, I asked in DVD Ezy yesterday if they could order Dark knight of the scarecrow for me on VHS and they said we only deal in DVD.
I think that's pure discrimination toward old video.
Now I won't be able to ever see DKOTS.
It hasn't been transfered to DVD yet any where.

Anyone watch Phone Jackers on channel V? Remember the skit about DVD purchases? Doov-dee. I wish to purchase a doov-dee. Do you have Jayvcee?

The other night I popped on an old NTCS video I got from the states, what was it, Texas Chainsaw Massacre Two.
It's Rubbish!
Rubbish with a capital R!

200px-Texas_chainsaw_massacre_2_poster.jpg

The only thing good about this film was Stretch played by Caroline Williams.
Her thighs were tender and juicy.
What an insult this movie was.
I couldn't believe how bad the acting and script was.

I was meant to go in town today to buy Freddy 6 but I can't be bothered.
I forked out $80 yesterday on the 2 Rockford Files DVDs.
Two-thousand plus hours of Rockford Files.
They were showing it at a bad time on Fox TV by day at 2pm and 4pm so I just bought the whole car-boosh.

I also watched the other night a DVD I bought called Dead Kids.
What tripe!
Talk about a poorly acted out movie and script.

the btk one im talking about is this years one.

same kane hodder that was jason.

Oh, I was talkin''bout this one.

hunt_for_the_btk_killer_the_quikshop_com_au_sm.jpg

It's rather boring.
The BTK was boring.
He was a perverted little weasel.

It's virtually impossible to get hold of a copy of Dark Night of the Scarecrow.
No one will order a VHS for you today.
They all look at you like you're a f**k wit.
It's almost like, ''VH-what? I this guy serious?"

I watched that Rosemary's Killer the other night.

rosemarys.jpg

The violence is full-on.
It's very graphic in its attack.
The pool sceen and the cut neck with blood bubbling under the water was rather clever film making.
I liked the whole 'going out to the cemetery' scene too.
And I liked the killers strapping on his boots.
He was a good masked killer and they shouldn't have removed his mask to show us who he was.

The other night I popped on my old Friday the 13th 4 and 5 DVD's.
I didn't really watch these movies that many times and you know what? They are actually quite good.
I like the start of part 4.
It's almost like it's a new movie.
I'd forgotten about most of the sceens.
I'd forgotten how part 4 started in a hospital reminiscent of Halloween 2.
It was refeshing to see the green shrubbery and different kill techniques.
The guy from Back to the Future was in it, he played the 'Dead f**k' character.

Part 6 is my favorite though.
I like the whole cemetery sceen thing.
Think it was filmed in Georgia near TN.
I like the paint ball shoot ém up sceens.

One movie no one mentioned in this entire thread was The Wickerman.

page0_blog_entry391_1.jpg

Not that dreaful new Cage version the original '73 one.
It's actually an interesting film.
The end there captures the suspense of being captured.
Imagine being that guy being set upon by a hord of maniacs intent on putting you in some wiccan strawman only to be set alight and burnt alive.
The part where he lays eyes on the wickerman and starts screaming 'no'gives me chills.
They all start dancing and singing and he's sacrificed to the sun gods.
Make our f**king crops grow we give you this human sacrifice.
The whole caged animal thing gave it that texas chainsaw feel too.
I felt for the animals as much as the poor cop.
Something about a caged chicken making noises scares me.

Hey, hey!

Someone from the states just recommended me a good site overseas for hard to get DVD's.

Very hard movies to get.

http://fleshwoundvideo.com/Index.html

http://fleshwoundvideo.com

It's very hard to e-mail them at the e-mail a question option as it wants you to set up an account or something.

The e-mailing address though is fleshwoundvideo@sbcglobal.net
I've already e-mailed them.

They have the movies I want and I think they accept money orders.

The movies are only $15 U.S. each.
$12 postage and handling for 1-4 DVD's.

They've got Deathship and Dark night of the Scarecrow and Deranged.

I'm down.

A trailer here for Turkey Shoot. Anyone see this cracker ? LOL i think it was filmed in Oz

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=tcN68XFGoiI

It is a turkey (at least they got that part of the title right). The only good thing is the purve value as Linda Stoner (I think) back in those days wasn't a bad sort.

I'm reading Scott Smith's "The Ruins" at the moment. Great book and kind of a cross between "The Day of the Triffids" and "Apocalypto". He also wrote the excellent "A Simple Plan". There's a movie version of "The Ruins" and I was wondering if anyone has seen it.

Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness is the best movie ever.

Well not really but it is awesome.

I second the motion and also throw in an Evill Dead 2 for good measure.

The Evil Dead trilogy is a favourite of mine because although all 3 were entertaining for there own reasons, the movie types evolve from Horror to horror comedy, to more of a horror adventure comedy.

Bruce Campbells "Ash" in Army of darkness is my favourite movie character of all time. I cant think of a movie that has produced better catch phrases and one liners.

dammit...spoiler tag dont work.:x

if it has the same ending/story as the movie...i dont think i would like the book either.

Without wishing to spoil the ending of the movie for anyone who hasn't seen it, if some other people showed up, then the ending is the same.

I saw a trailer for "Mirrors". Looks good.

I doubt anybody has, but who has seen Stephen King's The Langoliers?

kate2.jpg

There's this one sceen in the movie that makes me laugh every time I watch it.

The central character in the film is a little blind girl called Dinnah.
She walks around with her eye seeing friend Aunt Vicky.
And in the sceen when all the passangers dissapear she wakes up and screams, asking 'is anybody there? Please God let there be people there.'

To cut a long story short, when she starts screaming after touching the scalped hair the planes captain comes running along and grabs her and she goes, 'every body has gone, where'd everybody go? My name is dinnah, I'm blind and when I woke up Aunt Vicky was gone, I couldn't see her.'

It's either I couldn't see her, or I can't see her.

Of cause she couldn't see her.

I've seen this one. It was a straight to VHS effort. One of King's better stories this one.

I'm looking forward to the movie version of "The Long Walk" which is slated to come out in the next of years (although I can't find any reference of it on IMDb) and "From a Buick 8" (for 2009 release). "Cell" is also due out in 2009 and is directed by Eli Roth (of "Hostel" fame), so I don't hold much hope for this being any good. Shame, good story.
