See, I myself prefer 'psuchological horror', which relies on ambience and mood to set the horror tone.

That's why I'm a big "Ringuu" fan - it's creepy without much gore.

Just saw "The Exorcism of Emily Rose"...

It's creepy. Particularly because it deals with a subject that nobody truly knows much about...

Very good atmospheric stuff, but a pretty silly movie. Should have stuck with the real story too.

Yeah, true.

I don't know much about the real story, but I really enjoyed the court-room drama - was she mentally ill, or was she possessed by 6 daemons?

It was creepy, but not really scary - although I always find these sort of films are creepier, because I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to actually be possessed...

I have over 100 horror movies in my collection, I've loved Horror ever since I saw The Exorcist when i was 12 years old (edited for tv) but still scared the living sh*t out of me.

I saw The Devil's Rejects yesterday, What a movie its better then the Orginal House of 1000 Corpres.

Is the Exorcism of Emily Rose any good? I have heard mixed reviews about it, Alot of talking and Court stuff, But the Exorcist 3 is alot like that too and i enjoyed that movie alot.

My faves are as follows:

Carrie
Carrie 2
Dawn of Dead (Both Orginal and Remake)
Night of The Living Dead (Both Orginal and Remake)
Ring (Both American and Japanese Versions)
Deep Red
Nightbreed
The People Under The Stairs
The Burning

Christine
Needful Things
Creepers
Demons 1 and 2

Candyman is a classic, that was one of the first horror movies I watched when I was young, scared me back then, never been able to say candyman into a mirror to this day.

Thanks! You have to get Children of The Corn on DVD, I have 1,2,3 and 6 on DVD, Most of those movies are under 10 bucks brand new.

Halloween with Michael Myers and Dr Loomis is my fav.
Donald Pleasance was such a great actor.
After Halloween 4 it became nuts. (Halloween 3 was bizare).

It's not strictly speaking a horror film...More like a thriller.

Perhaps the scariest parts are seeing Emily when she's possessed (or ill).

It's got some great atmospheric touches, and some good tension. It also does a good job of explaining the religious significance of certain things.

I enjoyed it, although I read up on the real-life case the movie is based on and they aren't too similar.
