We haven't even played one game yet. Brown is showing some really good signs but let's not forget what state we're currently in. I wouldn't be expecting/hoping too much. With having the most inexperienced/youngest team in the comp next year coming off a spoon and a few years of utter hell I'd be happy to see us not pick up another spoon to be honest.
Firstly, good luck to Houso...as much as he is maligned by many on here (and for good reason) I don't ever believe he lacked effort/commitment whilst on the field - skill, ability and effectiveness were another matter.
On our season next year:
* Brown has thoroughly impressed in what I have seen so far from the clearing of the decks, to the fitness and pre-season work he is instilling in the squad - that early pre-season photo of Uate makes it evident to me that we should be physically up to the challenge come round 1
* Our first string squad should be capable of getting us to between 8th and 10th this year if Brown demonstrates he has the same level of skill and capability with tactics and strategy as he has with his restructure and professionalism
* that position very much hangs on a better than fair run on injuries - our depth is still significantly below other clubs and was never going to be fixed in his first year.
I am more enthused about 2017 and the promise that holds but I am also setting my expectations higher that beating off back to back spoons next year...the more I see and here of what Brown is and has done, the more I have faith that our club has turned a monumental corner that we won't ever return to.
