Despit the lowly position on the ladder, despite the bagging they have all recieved, how good did the 7 broncos in the test teams go? Bloody great!!

The only lowlight to the night was the rotten NSW sided commentary. Not that Ikin's any bloody good either, but if there were 7 newcastle, st geaorge or dogs players in the game we wouldn't have heard the end of it.

Good onya broncs - Good onya QLD

Yes, watching the 7 Broncos certainly made it an exciting match. I couldn't get enough of the Hodges, Tate and Hunt dummy half runs. It took me back to last years boreathon GF.

I'm not sure if I have seen a more boring test match. International RL seems to be going backwards.

Commentators were terrible both ways, joey was ok though.

Joey was ok ???...apparently Brent Todd was playing on the wing for you !!!...the irony is that he is probably more effective than Tate !!.;-)

- Karmichael Hunt did very well
- Justin Hodges had is usual game
- Brent Tate played his best game of the year
- Darren Lockyer could have been better
- Petero Civoniceva was his average game, nothing special
- Shaun Berrigan did nothing wrong nor did he do anything good
- Greg Eastwood didn't do much

See how they go against a good club side. They were playing a vastly understrengthed kiwi side, alot with very little experience,so of course the broncos in the side were going to go alright playing behind the best forwards in oz & the best halfback.

The kiwis were missing far to muchtalent,Wiki,Jones,Rahihi,Vagana,Kidwell,Vainikolo,Webb.

You could name 3-4 oz sides & out of the kiwis you would probably only find room for SBW& Benji

Broncos players made 9 out of 15 errors.

Hodges was great as you would expect. Tate was solid, but not impressive. Hunt was reliable and is fast securing a permanent spot as Mini once had. Lockyer was Lockyer. Can't fault him for that.

Berrigan was crap, and Civinoceva gave away 2 penalties, but is a great prop and front rowers tend to give away the most penalties.

The Broncos players did serve Australia well, but the only players to impress, were those who deserved their spots.

Oh well, looks like Sticky and the selectors were justified in picking them then.

interrsting thing is, how can sticky get more out of them than Benny can ?

is Benny losing his ability to motivate them ?

benny's not losing anything...they were fantastic last nite..all of them did their job and maybe if the broncos players from last nite were surrounded by superstars all over the park then im sure theyd b winning...its not a matter of coaching..its a matter of players and their attitudes

I must be the only Brett Tate fan on LU.....but crikey, every time that bloke pulls on a green and gold jersey he plays like superman.

Im always stoked when they pick him.

On paper Australia should win 80+ percent of their matches. Of course ANYBODY is going to look pretty good playing off the back of that. So the question is, how exactly does a player lose his spot other than through injury, and if this continues are we going to see players with consistently ordinary club form stack up an impressive number of tests that would make them look almost comparable with past greats when they aren't fit to lace their boots?
