A top 8 finish next year isn't out of the question, BUT may be asking too much.

I think elliot will have a good year for his first i dont think we will win the comp(im hoping) but i think it will be more successful than the last 2 years hopefully a final 8 place and yeah i agree 2008 will be much bigger and better from the boys

You have to remember that everyone expected Langy to get us into the top 8 the first year he started with us, and we ended up comming third last. Needless to say it was a better result than the previous season (wooden spooners) I think supporters expect far too much of a new coach and generally expect him to be the answer to their prayers.

Needless to say, Matt is a good signing for us, and I think with time, he will turn the boys back into the team they used to be in 03' and 04'. Don't expect too much too soon though... Give Matt at least a year to settle in. Don't expect too much next season, I think we'll make the 8, or just miss out by the skin of our teeth but not much more.

2008, however will be a very different story.

To some degree anyway.

While i dont expect a premiership i think we should atleast expect to do better then last yr yes we will be missing a few key players eg swain presto etc however the way we performed last season we can only go up as i think last yr while excotong at times was in the end a rather dismal season.

So while i dont expect a title we can only improve which should mean we would be well placed by season's end.

As for how long exactly should we give matt well i think 08 will be when we know wether to keep him or move him on but 07 is going to be a ripper of a season.
