How many Manlee fans will be at ANZ stadium next week?

The wise punter would suggest something south of 1,000

Seriously, whilst there are some good fans, the majority are fair weather gooses that haven't crossed the spit bridge since 1984. How would you feel as a Manly player to know that 98% of your fan base couldn't give enough of a tinkers toss to attend away games? It must surely be somewhat disheartening

I think our best strategy for next week crowd wise is to give free tickets to anyone who looks like Peter Peters. Each of them would take up 10 seats, so give a few of them away and it would look like Manly had a fan base at the game

Cheers,
Moffo

Big mouth huh? If Manlys forward pack muscle up like i think they will the Dogs wont be able to cope with it. Manly are easy to dislike, but there is no tougher team in the comp. Good luck big mouth

For mine this has the potential to be the game of the year. Both sides are in slashing attacking form and the Desiree history between the sides has added some extra spice. It's a game deserving of 55000 plus.

More than there will be dogs fans come the full time siren....

After getting watching their team get thumped most will already be taking their frustrations out of train carriages, bus shelters and other inanimate objects by the time the game if over

qft

why would i want to go to a cold footy stadium in the middle of bum fk nowhere when i can watch it from the warmth of my part of gods country with a beer that doesnt cost my left leg?

i guess if you werent bogans and knew what it was like living in this glorious utopia you would understand.

Ideally the Melbourne game would be Friday night and bulldogs Sunday. But as we are ch9's whore I expect we will continue to bend over and take it as they please.

Make up your mind Moffo... If FTA is so damn important as you keep flapping your hands about in the TV Rights thread, why do we actually need to turn up to this game anyway? We can watch it live at home. Having said that, it is funny how we have the 2nd highest 'away' record in the league. http://stats.rleague.com/rl/crowds/2012.html I guess fans of other teams must just like watching us beat their team. I hope you feel the same way on Friday.

btw.. Not every Manly fan lives on the Northern side of Sydney. There was a quite a strong group of Manly fans at a basically 'dead rubber' on Saturday night, and also earlier in the year in Brisbane.

Unfortunately I will not be there. My life insurance and income protection policies will not cover if anything happens whilst attending a Bulldogs game. To big a risk to take. If we meet in the GF as I suspect we will I will take that risk and come then.

Not a ch9 decision, play the qualifying finals first & then the elimination ones as per this top 8 system.

There'll never be a perfect system, but this one gives more rewards to the higher ranked teams. i.e - longer rest before week 2 & a home final ( well, as least in their home city for some Sydney teams )

How does FTA and going to the game link together?

You know your fans don't attend away games so don't even tri that one on. Eden park crowd and probably a game in Brisbane inflate that to buggery

Just when I thought you were off your rocks...you come up with this which is WORSE. There is an AFL Final in Melbourne that will get 80,000 (minimum) and you want to put an NRL match head to head with it. I am hoping you didn't know the AFL schedule, but if you did, that idea is BEYOND stupid. In fact the current situation is the best situation as NO AFL game is on in that timeslot in Melbourne!

It would not be ideal for the Storm to go up against the Collinton AFL semi on Friday night.
