How many, Souths fans?

Ink, the difference being that last week there were two teams on equal competition points, and equal chance of making the finals. It was a big game, and probably deserving of a bigger ground.

This week, we have 7th playing 11th and 5 points separating them on the competition ladder. The Roosters form has completely dropped away over the last two weeks. Being realistic Roosters fans are not known for their travelling to away venues. Wests Tigers fans are known for that, even though the game was going to be moved to another of their home grounds anyway.

The two games are chalk and cheese, which is represented by their scheduling differences. Sunday afternoon (3.00) vs Saturday evening (5.30). Last week was a key game for getting into the finals, this one is all about improving your position within the 8.

I reckon if they get 25k.....then you could safely say there would have been about 40k if they moved last weeks game to TS.

Comparing the two games is ridiculous size wise.Chalk and cheese.

We should be comparing Souths crowds with Wests 2 years ago. Both are/were clubs with a lean recent history, and a large groundswell of support. With Wests looking finals bount on '05, their crowd numbers were fantastic. Didn't they have 35k to Telstra the day they flogged the Dogs?

I'd predict Souths crowds from here on in to be similar.

I still can't get over the scheduling! What were they thinking? My guess will be 20k but it deserves much, much more.
Reg the Flight Steward and the Chief pilot swallow, so the Noughts got the Friday night spot.

If the game was at the SFS there would be an extra 10,000 Souths fans alone ontop of the few hundred Rooster supporters that would come. The sooner we get out of homebush the better.

It isn't an excuse. There won't be 40K at this game, nor should anyone with a brain expect there to be. There won't be 30K at this game either. 20K of your own fans is more than reasonable and I don't think there will be more than a 2-3K Sydney fans at this game. Now that their season is over they will be focussing all their energy on the Swans.

My beef is as early as last Mon & Tues, Richo and co were prepared to bandy about rather large crowd figures for a hypothetical away game for them with us should it be moved to TS, all the while safe in the knowledge theyd never be proved wrong.....yet here we are the week before theyre on the verge of making the semis, first time in nearly 2 decades, a home game for them (where they would be definitely either proved right or wrong should they predict a crowd this week) against their arch rivals and hated neighbours of 100 years, and we hear nothing at all from the club, not a peep...and nothing but excuses from the fans for a lower figure than last weeks prediction.

Not so confident this week?

Its all well and good to throw round large inflated figures when we know its all hypothetical & wont be proved wrong, yet we get a fairly bit more conservative when we know a figure will be attributed to us.

Why does it matter to you though? You're a Tigers fan and the time has passed.

The bitter remark appears to be spot on.

There won't be 30K at this game either.

Yet you were expecting 20,000 souths fans on top of 20000 Wts fans to turn up last week.

Unless you are taking the piss and trying to rev us up (which I am now pretty certain you are), you are a complete and utter imbecile, the likes of which I have rarely come across.
