Any recent updates?

Yak and the like, any word on if the ARL are actually going to try and promote this one? Let's hope they find the will and desire to spend at least $5 promoting

Give the kiwis at bondi cheap tickets, lets just make sure we get some atmosphere out of it

Come on Mr Carr, don't let the punters down

The question is where the hell is the advertising? most people still don't even know about it!

There were good ads when tickets first went on sale but it has fizzled. Was hoping for more during the NRL finals coverage.

they would have to send out some free tickets to say, footy club members or junior players like union do to fill the empty seats at the stadium. They might not make a profit off the ticket sales but they will on food sales and parking, and if there is going to be empty seats they may as well give the tickets out for free.

Radio ads are back, newspaper ads are back, some promos being done, plus with the naming of the side and promos on NRL.com hopefully some more tickets will be sold.

There is also a Bundaberg Roo Crew supporter group that has been setup by the NRL. Tickets are $20, and include a supporter shirt. They are in bay 115-1, you have to call Ticketek to get a seat there and just quote the code 'Bundy'. Its certainly not a bad idea, hopefully something that will grow in the lead up to the 08 World Cup.

Wouldnt it have been great if the people of Brisbane had been able to gear up for the last big football match of 2005 at Suncorp Stadium......

I'm not panicking yet. Tickets will pick up next week as you get closer to the match, members and kids packages aren't counted yet and we don't know what the walkup will be.

I wouldn't be surprised if they get 35,000 to this.

the NRL started advertising the game on Fox Sports last night, there's articles going up on NRL.com - things are definitely looking up.

They certainly left it late, must assume people don't plan what to do on their weekends anymore than a week in advance.

Still as they say, better late than never.

That said, let us enjoy what is a rarity, an International ad
