Tackled a players legs in the air without the ball, and since the result looked really bad it has to be 7 weeks. If Waqa is okay, no injury then we can take it down to 2 weeks.

Has to be at least a couple. He changed course, didn't contest at all and put him in the most dangerous position i have seen for years and never once tried to locate the footy. It wasn't a tackle.

If he doesn't get something its open season on guys in the air and there will be serious injuries.

That cannot happen again.

So you can attack an attacking player in the air? Let's just say its okay to attack a player attempting do defuse a bomb and be done with it. Farrell should be sat down for the rest of the year....but he wont!

Disgraceful play. Just hope Sisa is alright!

Even if he catches that ball and lands in the field of play Farrell has every chance of at least putting Waqa touch in goal or just in to touch. Should have just let him go.

if the storm weren't such a pack of softies they should have put farrell on the medicab right after waqa.

farrell knew what he was doing imo.

FMD, Waqa jumped on top of him. Where was Farrell supposed to go.

Shouldn't have even been a penalty.

Even if it was the other way.

None. How could you give weeks for that? Farrell just ran in front of Waqa in the air. Waqa just fell awkwardly.

A few years ago Inglis deliberately pushed Kevin Gordon's legs in the air and sent him flying. Was that even a penalty?

Farrell hasn't done anything wrong. It was an accident.

This. It's unfortunate Waqa landed awkwardly, but that wasn't the fault of Farrell. He can't nor shouldn't have to get out of the way.

I'd prefer to be shoulder charged by SBW than tunnelled by Farrell, at least the shoulder charge won't put me in a wheelchair.

Stupid rule, if its dangerous for a attacker to tackle a defender in the air then its equally dangerous the others way.

Yes!!

That rule defies belief.

On the incident, nothing. Penalty was sufficient.

Unfortunate what happened to Waqa, but if he hadn't landed on his head, he wouldn't have even gone on report. The injury can't determine the punishment.

The injury can't determine the punishment.

Well it does mate.

Some NRL judiciary official was on the Big Sports Breakfast the other day saying that they simply have to take it into consideration, which is fair enough.

I realise it was an accident but it had more potential to put a bloke in a wheelchair than any " lifting" tackle this year.
