How many weeks for JWH ?

Definitely not a shoulder charge. Might get 2 weeks, 1 with an early plea.

A shoulder charge is is when the shoulder is tucked into the body.

It's amazing how many people don't know the difference yet.

I don't know what his loading is like for this but I reckon at worst he'll get off with an early guilty plea. Might serve a week with loading and all that crap.

Definitely won't be charged as a shoulder charge though.

Leads with the shoulder and wraps the arm at the end. It's not very different from the game is trying to rub out. 2 weeks, 3 depending on his loading.

These f**king idiots think that since the shoulder charge has gone that we're playing by rugby union rules. They don't realise that league shoulder charge interpretation is significantly different from the yawnion one.

His tackle was wholly legal and if he sits out even a week it would be a f**king disgrace.

It's like the whole shoulder charge circus has made you people forget that high shots are illegal, period. It doesn't need to be a shoulder charge

He should not get any weeks. Stewart did exactly the same shot on Fuifui Moi Moi last week and he left the ground to tackle him around the head. Hargreaves if they are consistent should also get off.

Jason King did a shoulder charge, he hit him with his shoulder.

Different players, different rules, different reffing, its all become a little bit messy.
Manly winning the penalty count is becoming a little boring, they not only slow the play down, they also dont get penalised for spoiling.
Tv viewers will be the next to be going backwards. First time in years i turned off without even watching the second game.
Sattler must have been watching the afl.

Did Burgess "get off"? I thought it was downgraded.

JWH will get grade 1 and depending on loading will get 1 or 2 weeks.

Certainly not a shoulder charge, but definitely a high shot. Will get charged, and the big risk to JWH will be whether it gets rated reckless, rather than careless, as it looked like he intended to put a big shot on a player that was looking to where he was passing. With loading, I wouldn't be surprised to see him copping 3-5 weeks.

Well I feel its a legit shot and I reckon Stuart milked it as well at the sacrafice of being out for the rest of the game, JWH shouldn't get anything but NRl will probably give him 4-6 weeks.

What an utterly moronic statement

Was definitely not a shoulder charge, he went in with a swinging arm to the midriff type shot and the contact from the initial tackle kind of propels Stewart's momentum into JWH's shoulder

3 out of the 4 posts you quoted suggested that he get a suspension. Not sure how you determined that we think it was a legal shot?

Another instance showing we need a foul play injury reserve. Manly left a player short for 60 minutes. It's roosters next opponent who gain the advantage.

High shot, 1-2 weeks. Good JWH is an amazing player but f**k he can be stupid at times.

Lol at the tards who reckon one of Manly's key players milked it by sitting out sixty minutes and leaving the team a man short...

The Roosters fans who booed Stewart need to take a good hard close look at themselves. What an embarrassment given all that has transpired this last week in our game.

If the players were close enough to upright and the contact was with the head, he gets charged. I believe Gurgess got the downgrade because Teddy fell so far from an upright position before contact.
And with the current debate around the clause that says something about damage being considered in the penalty IE Kade Snowden, Stewart missing the rest of the match isn't going to be good for JWH.

I know a still from a vid does not show the full picture ,but the fact that when contact is made ,there was no effort to wrap him up will go against him.
The arms by the side will get him 3-4.

I am no fan of either club.
Thats just my opinion.

It's rugby league. There is no 'wrapping' rule
