It looked careless and lazy from JWH, probably a grade 1. I also reckon he had some idea that he was going to collect him high.

No. If it's not a shoulder charge (arm tucked) it's not a shoulder charge.

You're confused and seem to think we're playing by yawnions idiotic interpretations. He didn't tuck his arm therefore it wasn't a shoulder charge.

Wrapping is for geniuss.

I often agree with many of your opinions but in this instance you're making yourself look like an A-grade spastic along with a plethora of other Roosters fans. It's high contact regardless of whether or not it was a shoulder charge. That has been outlawed for many years.

was an accidential collision, no way a shoulder charges maybe a week for being careless.

imo no charge to answer

Most high tackles are accidental, hence there being gradings for careless, reckless and intentional high tackles (the latter rarely being used, I believe Travis Burns was the last to be suspended for an intentional high tackle in 2012).

He'll get 2-3 weeks plus he'll have both loading + carryover points to contend with. After these are taken into account, he'll probably get 3 weeks with an early plea.

I know a still from a vid does not show the full picture ,but the fact that when contact is made ,there was no effort to wrap him up will go against him.
The arms by the side will get him 3-4.

I am no fan of either club.
Thats just my opinion.
Stuart crying about his Mrs's on JWH's shoulder is a "perfectly natural thing!" Look @ Aiden; Yeeeeeeeehaaaaa.

Yeah. I'm sure you agree with a lot of my opinions when they don't pertain to decisions involving your team. Good job.

That's a tackle we see 50 times a game. The only point of difference is Stewart was unfortunately injured, therefore its deserving of a ban? Hysterical nonsense.

You can even see in the pictures that people are saying proves its a shoulder charge that his right arm is in motion and coming up

A penalty for going above the shoulders and nothing more.

& this is not the Roosters forum where your bias is supported by other biased posters.
I don't like Easts or Manly ,& couldn't think of a better grub to get whacked than G.Stewart ..& FYI

I Played & have followed RL for 45 yrs.
SO once more for the Biased fans.
If you are going to tackle someone(& especially now with the new rules pertaining to Shoulder charges ),then you would expect a player to be trying to wrap a player up in a front on tackle.
& by wrap up I mean
He would have his arms somewhere other than by his side.
That is NO attempt at a tackle.
& bringing your arms up after contact is made with your shoulder & the head of an opponent will not cover the fact that no attempt was being made when contact was made.

Can't agree with this. You are taught to tackle with your shoulders, so of course that would make contact first. JWH's arms are not by his side. Less than a third of a second later they would be making contact with Stewart. You are analyzing the game down to a nanosecond and you think that makes an accurate representation of the entire tackle? really? analysing a tackle down to the frame?

In that case 90% of tackles in the NRL are like this. If you want simultaneous contact with the shoulder and the arms onto the attacking player, you are simply not going to get it. The game isn't played in frames

You can also see in the picture that Stewart has well and truly let go of the ball (the receiver basically has it). High contact, possibly slightly late, poor disciplinary record, on field merkin, though offset that he players for the roosters and Uncle Nick in his corner.

I have no confidence in the MRC/Judiciary. Could be 0 weeks, might be 6 after loading (I still reckon it will be 3-4).

He was clearly trying to hit him on the chest and the arms came around about 1 second after the still. A player at any other club would get off. JWH will get 6 weeks.

Not sure why you keep going on about it not being a shoulder charge. It's high contact and worthy of a couple of weeks, regardless of whether it's a shoulder charge or not. If it was a shoulder charge I think it's probably get 6 weeks, it's not so I'm sticking to my opinion that he'll be out for 3 weeks after loading, carryovers and an early plea are all taken into account.

Who really cares where his arms are? Initial contact was clearly made with the jaw of the attacker. That's a suspension on most occasions.

He was clearly trying to hit him on the chest and the arms came around about 1 second after the still. A player at any other club would get off. JWH will get 6 weeks.

Kade Snowden got 6 weeks for standing his ground but yeah, it's a conspiracy against the poor, hard done by Roosters.

Not a massive suspension (don't know his loading) but contact with the head will mean something to the MRC I believe

Pleasantly surprised that they didn't just go with some crazy ridiculous charge like had been doing the rounds yesterday.

It was reduced by 11 because of his recent history of Premiership glory and sitting Eagles forwards on their arse in the process.

Glen Stewart's been ironed out by our 2 starting props in consecutive games now.

Maybe the big skirt should sit out the opening 20 while the men sort each other out. He can come on once everyone is tired and start elbowing throats with impunity
