Buderus broke Ferguson's cheekbone while attempting a shoulder charge. MRC done nothing.
He wasnt put on report or penalised during play. I agree he should have been charged, but it would have been probably a 1-2 week suspension as the "shoulder charge" was reactionary to Blake's attempt to elude him. It would have been in the realm of careless rather than reckless.
TheDugan should have escaped suspension from the MRC as the Buderus case was the precedent.
We can compare gripes for eternity. The point is the MRC and the judiciary are a joke. The way things are weighted, penalties reduced and cases rarely "fought" (IMO a 1 week suspension is grounds to fight the charge, clearly it was a minor incident, yet everyone accepts the 1 week ban to ensure availability) Add to that the real power of suspension stems directly from the media. They have a massive influence on the grading of an incident.
When was the last time somebody fought a charge and had it cleared altogether? Not a down-grade, but went to the judiciary and won the case?
