Its Smith so you'll never know, but Mortimer is on his last chance in the NRL. He just doesn't fit anywhere. He and Pearce would be the worst halves pairing in the comp as a combination. They are the exact same player.

I agee he is crap, and smith is a dud coach. However he was boguht to start and has been publicaly stated as Carneys replacement. Rooster fans just dont want to admit it as it doesnt suit their argument.

I don't ever recall the Roosters stating that Mortimer is Carneys replacement in fact I am 100% positive that they have stated more then once that the reason they got Mortimer at a basement bargain price (not cheap enough imo) was to add to a squad lacking in depth in the halves over the rep seasons....
