Very true. He's never been hungry for a front line defensive role, or a ball-in-the-hand three of every six tackles role either.I just can't see Hayne wanting to play 5/8. He didn't succeed in the past and I think that's because he hated playing in the front line.
He'd probably be hungry for five-eighth style money for a season (or maybe two), but not for the role itself. Fullback in Union would suit Hayne down to the ground.
