I just can't see Hayne wanting to play 5/8. He didn't succeed in the past and I think that's because he hated playing in the front line.

Very true. He's never been hungry for a front line defensive role, or a ball-in-the-hand three of every six tackles role either.

He'd probably be hungry for five-eighth style money for a season (or maybe two), but not for the role itself. Fullback in Union would suit Hayne down to the ground.

We did that last year and he lost too much speed and agility. I think the weight will come on naturally with more training sessions and diet programs. Devlin and Arthur will know how much weight to put on him.

Well that's a dilemma. Last week vs Tigers he offered little. Could not hit it up and left it for Taka to try and create plays for him plus ruck the ball.

Love Bevo but he needs to grow into his body. Was watching Mamo from Newcastle on the weekend. How long has it taken him to harden into a FG footballer ? 2 or 3 years ?

French offers very little at the moment. Finishing is excellent but the 80s are long gone. Wingers need to offer so much more. Also, French has playmaking ability which is under utilised on the wing. I'd say his inclusion this year is just about preparing him for next year. Plus we have two wingers unavailable right now.
