Is irregardless a word?
Irregardless was popularized in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its increasingly widespread spoken use called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead

Well I stand corrected.

Hoffman is definitely a winger, and a rather good one.
He's no superstar, but that's ok. Not everyone in the team can be a superstar. What Hoffman brings is solid winger play - rucks it out well from his own end, doesn't shit himself with the try line in front of him, is safe under the high ball.

I haven't understood any of the Hoffman hate this season at all. He hasn't done much wrong.

I should clarify: he's a good solid winger - but I think he would be a rather exceptional fullback. He's often said that is his favourite position. I think, like a lot of fullbacks, that he doesn't produce his best on the wing. Still bloody good, though.

A f**kstick who is correct in saying Gutho was a fullback and French was a winger as shown by todays performance you peasant
They're both fullbacks. You want more than one run for 11 metres from a winger. French's hit ups are ineffective but he is dangerous carrying the ball in shape.

You want your winger catching high balls, defending well both in making reads and hitting and stickin and scoring tries too. French did all these things well.
