I’d actually go for the Penrith rookie half
Crocker (sorry I think that’s his name)
His old man was a good tradesman.
He ran the Penrith side without a recognizable spine. The Cowboys only jagged a win.
Still make Hunt play park fooballl or sue his arse when he fails to honour a multi-million dollar contract
Cogger you mean. But we have a half post Hunt. We need a 6 if Amone is not it
Cowboys did jag that win as the ref gave Penrith nothing in the 2nd half and gave Cowboys some timely leg ups
Yes Penrith made errors and Yes I tipped Panthers in my tipping comp so maybe a bit of bias there

Ben should leave. My only counter-arguments before were that he at least gives his all on the field and has produced some great plays, as well as that he can mentor our young halves.

But the more I think about it, why would I want him mentoring our young halves? He can't ice a game, and his playmaking ability other than when he backs himself isn't close to top-shelf, hence why he's a better hooker.

I think we should either:

a) Get an experienced, quality halfback for 2 years (there aren't really any on the market).
b) Get a former halfback - I mean, a REALLY GOOD halfback who's now retired (the likes of Cronk, Joey, etc) as a coach. Imo, I'd love to see Jimmy Maloney around the club helping out. He often made his halves partner look better than they were with his abilities and was grossly underrated in my opinion and would be a great influence.

You want timing. The CEO said on air this aftrernoon he has talked with them about a release for a few weeks now. It was officially in writing today. Id say the Hook sacking and the way it happened was the last straw in his mind.
But if Hook was the last straw then he can go if he must and can play with the side Hook is coaching
The last straw would have been the guarantee from Titans he will get paid no less and that they’re in the finals race…and they’re in QLD….for whatever that could possibly be worth to anyone.
