Hypothetical "If we win" Questions

You know the scary thing? I'm pretty sure Drew-Sta was talking about the grand final, Saab attacked him for trying to say a club game was important (which he wasn't), and then I read through another four pages of Saab looking like a goose. Shut up, Saab.

And Langer was a tripper.

nugby..concentrate on this fridays game vs the cowboys.
Poor record up there do the dragons have and carl webb and rauhihi are back for the cowboys.
I was just stating that no one should look too far ahead.
The eels did in their forum...were all excited and talking about minor premierships and GFs....then lost back to back games.

Saab Mate, it doesn't matter what context you try to put it in, Langers little chant was very unsportsmen-like. Defend his 'tripping' if you wish, but the song should never have happened.

I also find it rather hypocritical, Chuck, to say 'Don't look too far ahead' when you've got 3 predictions in your signature, one of which is Brisbane will win the comp.

And lastly, I'm pretty sure the post title included 'Hypothetical' in it somewhere, an indication that I asking 'What if...' questions, not making predictions. I realise there is still a long way to go, but considering we're in a decent position, and Brissy are the likely minor premiers, I was asking fellow Dragons supporters what would happen IF we won the GF over the Broncs, not that we WOULD win it.

SS, intensity to the EXTREME!!

i have those predictions there for some fun..they have been there for many months and i dont back down from them.
Langer shouldnt have sung it no, but he was drunk and egged on by the crowd. Langer wasnt the 1st player to be influenced by booze and crowds and wont be the last. ("Fire up" ring any bells)
As for the tripping, it was his way of bringing a player down...YES it had some issues i will admit to that, but he played by the rules and the NSWRL / ARL did nothing serious about it. Its not like he did a shaun timmins trip or wes naquaima style of trip each and every time.
As for the Dragons in a great position...yes they are. Coming 2nd.
but that can allllllllllll change with losses to the cowboys, broncos and eels.

And I had the "Hypothetical" question there for a bit of fun too. So why come here and cause a storm over them? I don't bag you out for your predictions, why antagonise us because we're having 'some fun' too?

Secondly, wasn't the song chanted AT THE GROUND? Now, it was a long time ago, and I was only a kid, but wasn't it chanted as they were accepting awards or something. Therefore, unless Langer is the cheapest drunk on the planet, how could he have piled in so many after just finishing the game?!

Thirdly, I said you could argue your tripping case til the cows come home, I really don't care about it so we don't have an issue there.

And lastly, mathematically Chuck, the Bronco's can lose their Minor Premiership if they lose their last few games as well. Let us Saints supporters enjoy the success our team is showing, because we're all excited to be doing well (for once).

langer sang the song to the crowd outside the Broncos leagues club I believe, on a scaffold stage that was setup there.

Let's drop this now, eh.

and drunk and egged on by the partisan bronco biased crowd too. I think it was in poor taste what Langer did, but its done. I thought it was in poor taste what Gasnier did with the phone fiasco...but people make mistakes and they should be forgiven and move on.

Drew Sta....read Gregstars thread regarding getting over excited.
Brisbane have had alot of success since 1988, where as the dragons have been let down many a year since 1979.

if he had done that then he would have been killed, and his reputation would have been completely and utterly shot.

Fair enough about Gregs post, but frankly? I couldn't care what someone says if I get excited each and every time about the Dragons fortunes. I like getting excited cause if it by chance happens that we DO win, it will make it very satisfying to watch.

I don't hold any grudges against Langer for doing it, I just thought it would be amusing to see what people would do if given the opportunity, and I'd love to give a bit back if the situation occurred. After all, you give as good as your recieve in sport.

Lastly, Brisbane may have had a lot of success in the past, but so have the Dragons.
