I know, apparently it's an injury replacement thing that the FFA has sanctioned. However the player they're claiming for Melbourne is Celeski, who hasn't played since the early rounds. Thompson's injury prompted it though.

Yes, it's an injury replacement which means it's outside the cap.

They could have signed a free agent as an injury replacement.

It's ridiculous they can exploit the injury replacement rule to sign a player on a what is basically a loan deal from another a-league club.
