60% chance they'll win/40% chance they'll win without losing another wicket?

In all seriousness, I was surprised (but shouldn't have been) that Smith played the same formula at the start of yesterday's play. Cummins has been far more dangerous than Haze on this wicket, but nothing about the conditions seems to sway Smith from his usual approach.

Smith is a poor captain IMO

I tend to agree that Smith is a poor captain, but seriously, what are the alternatives?

I still believe we win this series, especially if Rabada is out for the next 2 tests.

If they try and rush Steyn back, i reckon it could backfire on them.

I’m not saying he should be sacked, he is easily our best option.

But he needs to be more proactive once plan A doesn’t work he has no idea how to rest the game back in his favour like the good skippers can.

Rabada will be a massive loss he was the difference in the two sides this test.

no, its a 4 yest series and its 1 each, silly not playing 5 tests with a better chance of getting a result

I think the alternative is that Smith and Boof sit down and think a bit harder (like they almost did after nearly fluffing the Adelaide test). Smith does have some positive attributes as captain, he comes up with some reasonable plans against many batsmen. I just think he lacks flexibility. It seems like they decide on a plan and stick with it regardless of subsequent evidence regarding how the pitch actually plays. There are times when that pig-headed attitude has merit, and there are times when it doesn't work so well.

Neither do I but I can read news articles ;-)
Apparently he was hacked.

Lol.

That could be the worst "dog ate my homework" excuse ever.

Actually maybe it replaces "dog ate my homework" as a saying.

For every mistake i have made (and there are plenty), my life was hacked...
