Pat Howard makes the afl guy look like a genius.

In my opinion he has been the biggest problem with Australian Cricket for a long time

James Sutherland hired him, and had been there since 2001. Somehow, he built up enough brownie points when the side was the best in the world to keep him in the job for 17 years.

But since 2007 on the whole the side has been rubbish. Our standard of play and the batting have been terrible. The lack of respect shown to the shield while the promotion of the Big Wank over it has only caused the quality of our batting to slip further. Him also being happy to let all the countries crickets grounds go to Boring drop in wicket route is another black mark against his name.

He was also more about making money than administering cricket, which is why he concentrated on the Big Wank and neglected Shield Cricket, so no doubt earned himself big bonuses.

This season we have 8 weeks of shield cricket, 8 f**king weeks for what used to take up the whole summer season, but hey he's making money.

Whoring the team out to meaningless one day cricket games while they should of been home preparing for home test series is another.

Is there any ODI's on free to air? I watch cricket but not really a follower as such but would always turn it on, but I had zero clue the game was even on? I don't have Fox and don't watch 7. I just put a telly out on the back deck near the pool and get abit of creek to coast now.

Crappy TV deal.

The only home internationals you will see on FTA is test matches on ch7
(though 9 are doing the ashes and world cup in 2019 and well as t20 WC in 2020)

ODI and t20 wont be shown on free to air - MENS version
From 2019 Ch7 will cover the Womens ODI and t20

Cheers, I'm guessing ODI's will die a natural death pretty soon. Can't see it lasting with only Fox Subscribers watching. T20 looks to be the winner here.

Whilst Indian fans enjoy their ODI cricket it will stay, it doesn’t matter what happens in the rest of the world.

And it's not 8 near consecutive weeks of shield cricket. Sutherland, whose main claim to fame prior to joining Cricket Australia was being the CFO of Carlton when they got busted for cheating the salary cap (that and the fact that he went to the 'right school') has a lot to answer for

spot on Baz and in those 15 or so years he has built a nice nest egg for himself, no doubt some decent bonuses and will probably leave with a decent golden handshake

A wide-ranging restructure of Cricket Australia's management will see Executive General Manager of Team Performance, Pat Howard, leave his role next week, almost a year earlier than his planned departure.

Howard, the former Australia rugby representative who was appointed to oversee the regeneration of the national men's team in the wake of the 2010-11 home series Ashes loss to England, is among the latest to exit CA as the fallout continues from the ball-tampering scandal and ensuing culture review.

In addition to Howard's departure, which will take effect next week, newly installed CA Chief Executive Officer Kevin Roberts announced that Ben Amarfio, EGM of Broadcasting and Commercial who oversaw this year's broadcast rights deal, had also left the organisation effective immediately.

Ben Amarfio looks like the bloke who brokered the tv rights deals

Not surprising he has been told to piss off. no FTA for T20 and ODI is just a big a screw up than anything Howard has done.

What a f**king shambles this is, but tbh, I'm so glad that the higher management are also copping the flack, and are leaving, either enforced or voluntary.
It's about time the powers that be have suffered consequences for the state that Aussie cricket is in.
I wish it happened in other sports, like RL and the A-League. Both are also run by amateurs.

To be honest, the fallout from the eels
review should have seen a similar cleanout.
