If we’re going to pick an all rounder, he actually has to be able to bowl. There’s no point picking Marsh.
Boland will be in for the next test and Marsh should be out for a proper all rounder

Konstas looks special considering I thought he was a red ball type of batsman.

His T20 debut tonight has me thinking he has more tricks then just red ball cricket.

I would take him to the West Indies in July for the 3 test series

That's a tactical rather than execution failure... You can place the blame squarely on the coaching and captaincy for that.

Marsh is a proper "all rounder", he's proved that, he's injured and cant bowl when we needed him, you have to ask what was the point in picking him when we have other all round options ?

I've watched a lot of him and I do think he is going to be something. I agree with you that now is the time to get him in and around the team, its only a matter of time for him.

I'd also keep him away from white ball cricket for now (for Australia).

I wouldn't pick him for Sri Lanka give him the full domestic season.

But no reason not to take him to the Windies next year as the reserve batsman during the off-season.

Its a horrible situation really.

Nothing to gain but everything to lose by batting today.

What a cock-up last night was.

Not only now has it done more damage to the confidence of our batsman it just gives India another little edge they have removed our top order once again cheaply when they should have been batting again today.
