I've been there for Eels games in the 80's with 20 000 there and even then it was ok.
A 6500 sell out is embarrassing.

Rugby League goes for 80 mins so i suppose you can stand for that period.

ODI Cricket goes for 7 hours people ain't going to stand up for all that time so there would be more blankets and picnic baskets on the hill for Cricket then Footy. So they have to restrict capacity for that demand.

I thought the crowd looked great on TV and seemed like a great atmosphere but maybe my expectations need to be raised a touch.

I suppose they figured a NSO looking full is better then a half empty SCG.

It was Volls debut match in T20 for Australia, but yeah played in the ODIs prior

With 107 x t20 internationals, Mooney has always opened in T20, bar couple of matches way back like 2016...

Disappointed with the crowd on Monday , beautiful evening, school holidays only about 9200. Very Dissapointing

Agree with the crowd, was hugely disappointing considering 40,000 people had tickets to a game on Friday night.
