I don't know if there are any major problems for you blokes.

We have a pretty well drilled and hungry team at Saints.

One thing though, which has been mentioned, a few of your blokes are starting to get on in Rugby League years.
Patten, Turner (had some bad injuries), Kimmorley, Ryan, Hodgson, to be honest I think all of these guys have had their best days.
They may well pull out 1 or 2 absolute beauty's....but the week in week out grind might be catching up with them now.

Injuries to Hodgson & Paea last night will test your forward depth.

according to my foxsports fantasy, stagg had a blinder in defense, 56 tackles made, only two missed, can't say that about the rest of the team...Roberts and Kimmorley need a kick up the ass....

Bah, our depth in the forwards is certainly going to be tested now that Hodgson and Paea will miss significant time.

Its very early...I do think the dogs lack attacking options. The forward pack needs a guy who can offload and break the line.
If it was round 15 id be worried but its only round 2...

i love it when dragons fans come and bag us out, it just makes it even funnier when they choke in the finals, like they'll do *again* this year.

This Dogs team looks like the Dogs team that played the last half a dozen games of last year. We were just about this bad at the end of last year too.

I'll be spitting chips if Barba is not 5/8 this weekend. Roberts has shown in the past that he's a good impact player off the bench, and that's where he should be. Barba is the only player that looks like he can spark us at the moment. Even Ennis has been very average in attack for quite a while going back to last year.

Our forward showed in a few games last year that they can run and pass before the line, and offload. They didn't show it much, but when they did that's when our team looked a million dollars. We need to change our style of play in that direction, otherwise we're going to be cannon fodder for a lot of teams.

And who said our players are fit? I thought they looked tired after 15 mins.

If we stick to the one-out style of rubbish with no imagination for the rest of the year I'm going to find it very hard to watch. We've got the capability to be an excellent team, but I just don't like the way we're going about things at the moment.

The less changes/disruptions to the team, the better. I'd still keep Barba on the bench and have Roberts start. We've been missing Ennis badly. When he comes back next week, he'll be hungry for a full 80 minute game. I still wonder where Benny Barba will play though.

From the parts of games I've seen it's just handling and discipline, although we were never a chance at WIN Stadium with home refereeing. We would've won against Newcastle if our handling wasn't so atrocious and gone much closer against Saints without so many errors.

Hopefully we can edge the Roosters out next week but I'm not holding my breath.

Yep, no skill in RL, just whoever the ref wants to win.

Stagg was your best last night.....50+ tackles and a lot of them stopped Saints from posting a bigger win. Barba added a lot of zip. Roberts looked like he would bust loose most times he touched the ball, but the Saints defence closed these down.
