He makes Ben Hunt look like a park footballer of late.
Give Chad a go.Who were the culprits against Manly?
Prior dropped ball ,then Manly score.
Gal tries to score from a couple of metres out near the goal posts and loses the pill.
Fifs has hardly been dominant, and still plays silly bs in tackles.
Val misses a dead sitter. We get that and we win the game.
Duges gets out jumped and the Manly guy with the alphabetical name scores.
Our goal line defence was easy meat fo long streak attackers to reach out.

We look dangerous when our backline functions and is used more often. When you've got one of the most damaging attacking players in the comp, viz a viz Val ,use him as more a trailer in attack.

Well, at least if 1990 doesn't rate Cooper that is consistent.

Cooper is in the top 15 or so back rowers in the game, I'd think. That seems pretty great to me.

But if that is not good enough, obviously people are looking for JT style players (at backrow, and other JT style players at halfback).

I happen to think that it is OK for a team to have players that are right on par with average first graders over the years, even in key positions. Especially if their good skill sets complement a team. But if you want every player to be a star I guess you can keep dreaming.

Cooper is garbage. Owes 3/4 of his pay to Thurston. As does Chad to barba, ennis and maloney

Chad did have a good game. Recognised by people that have played the game At the highest level.

But you know better than them all. So we will leave it there.

If you can’t have balance. Don’t bother.
Who recognised what? Commentators pfff
I do know that Toovey absolutely roasted Chad and does not believe the Sharks can win the comp with his form.

If you set "great" at the level of Gallen, Price, Clyde et al there will only ever be a handful of great players at once. Most international reps don't reach that standard. It doesn't matter much though, it is just semantics.

On the other hand, to describe Cooper as woeful or terrible just shows the mind set that those who are ultra critical of Sharks players have.

I've spoken of this before, but it is the same mind set that has so many movies on IMDB rated 1 or 10. No middle ground, or attempt to make nuanced judgements.

I can never reconcile such stark contrasting in judgements with my own views. But I can live with a team full of these so called "woeful" players, knowing that our consistently good (great? I guess that would require three premierships in a row...) results are the best judge of how we're going.

& so he changed it for the Melbourne game & we are back in the race.

He needs to own this game tonight though! Must be his mission to be better than JT!

Dare I say that the coif has sniffed out a tiny bit of form? Moylan and Holmes sniffing something too.

Outstanding tonight. If he can play like that more regularly we're in with a big show this year.

He was definitely down a few weeks ago.

Good time of year to run into form.

Hope Moylan and Graham can stay on the park and relieve some of the attacking pressure, and he can play like he has the last two weeks

Dosent he look better when he steps then runs straight instead of floating across the field, runs straight results in quick play the ball and we are going forward, all this across field inside pass does not work it slows down the play
