Mud, who'd have it? Well some Sydneysiders it seems. Of course mud comes in many forms, some of which almost causes frost-bite, that's my favourite type, something Northern European, local, quite solid. trench-foot enducing!
Gav, the most miserable game (weather-wise) that I've been to was in Leicester.
It turns out that good folk there put up with mud and ice every season... Australian footy weather is mild by comparison.
Leads me to the belief that the pommie footy supporters are made of sterner stuff then some of the locals here in Oz.
Well Willow I was there for the first game at Kogarah but most likely will have to miss the game against North Queensland because I'm playing football (soccer) on Sunday. I travel about 45 minutes (depending on traffic) to get to Kogarah traveling from Epping.
Ironically, I hope it pisses down so my game is called off and can watch the Saints strugle to topple the Cowboys. I was holding up the English Cross of St George flag if that means anything to you.
The St George Cross rings a bell. On the hill? I was on the opposite side.
I'll keep an eye out for your flag at the Cowboys match if it's pissing down.
