Should be fine. We have England, Bangladesh & Afghanistan to go. Afghanistan have caused a few boilovers and could catch us out, Bangladesh have been underwhelming & England are mentally on the plane home already. 2 wins from those games has us on 12 which will be enough. Even 10 should see us through unless the Lankans go on a run. That said if we are fair dinkum about winning this thing we would win all 3 games and win them well which would probably land us in 3rd

Yep. This game was a roller coaster the whole way. Result was on a knife edge to the final ball.

Was listening to the ABC call and the dumb English female commentator said that the game was “already pretty much over” halfway through the Aus innings… wish someone had clapped back at her and said “we’re not talking about England’s tournament here luv”.

We got our revenge for that 2015 match at Eden Park that was 150 v 150.

But what is to be said of our bowling attack? I don't see a magical linear line of improvement. Are they capable of taking us to a WC win?

Yes it's another concern.

It's an ageing attack and the goat doesn't even feature in it. They are a good unit but in this tournament I'm very uncertain.

Yeah 20 overs is fast but can be over quickly if team falls too far behind.

At least in 50 overs you still have time to chase down a largish total and in reality don't have to panic.

Yeah, some of the wickets NZ lost, they really didn't have to. They'd done damage in those overs already. I guess when adrenaline flows the temptation to keep pushing is hard to resist, but they seemed in control the whole way.

When Starc went for 4 wides near the start of the over I thought he was going to throw the game away.
That was a one tense ending. Some messed up part of me saw them hitting 6 off the last ball.
