Clarke needs to get himelf over to INdia next year and play in the IPL, look what its done for guys like Watson, Warner, White, Nannes, Tait, etc. Pretty much the guys doing the job fo0r us atm are the ones who are coming off a good IPL season

Another cracking knock of 16 from 24 balls. How much longer do we have to wait until he starts giving it to us? Wake us up when he does because i'm getting tired of waiting

He should be one of the first picked for test and one day cricket without a doubt because he's a very fine cricketer and i love watching him play those forms of the game. But as a T20 player he's pretty damn ordinary. He's played over 60 games so i think it's fair to say he's had more than enough time to settle in and learn this format but the facts are he just hasn't and more than likely ever will if he hasn't by now, it's clear his game just isn't suited to it.

On a brighter note, great bowling by young Smith. He seems to be improving more and more as time goes on and will be a great asset to the Australian team for many years to come.

he did all he had to do this morning, come out when we lost 2 in 2 balls and he just worked the ball around much like Haddin did when he came out

we were not chasing much so there was no need to go apesh*t and he got a freakish run out from Roach as he was just warming up

I wouldn't judge him or anyone on this mornings innings

I think our semi finals opponents are Pakistan - May 14

Poms will play SL - May 13

If we end up winning this world cup, Not sure how much of an influence Clarke would have had, compared to say if a Sunshine, Haddin, Hussey or White were captain. In the batting stakes Clarkes contribution would be very minor

His career S/R of around 105 is quite woefull for any batsman in T20 form of the game, wether it be an opener, middle order or lower order. Anyone else, they would be dropped from the side like a sack of spuds. I think this is what most people get frustrated about. He has the artillary and stroke play to really up the ante, but he just plods along. Ok to do that when you have balls and time to spare, but a lot of the time he needed to go quicker, his S/R reflects that

I still think the IPL would do Clarke good. I did wonders for Sunshines career when everyone (myself included) was writing him off. On this form though Clarke auction price would be pretty low. Steve Smith is really showing signs of improvement, he's got a very good record with the ball in this form of the game and the way he been bowling, he should get a gig in next years IPL.
