Ideas for forum development next season

The aim of this forum is to get as many people as possible following PL, Flegg and JB Cup.

So far the ideas we (girvie and I) have come up with are;

A PL tipping comp run using viewable polls each week. We will organise prizes for this comp, and 'advertise' it in all the sections pre season - as well as allowing people to join well into the season (because the aim is to get as many people as possible following PL).

Dedicated threads for updates on each side. This should allow people to assess a team's chances on any weekend by just reading the thread. We will try to post teams in these threads as early as possible each week.

Maybe appointing a few more moderators to help with this work.

If anyone has more ideas - we are very keen to hear them.

cheers
Roopy

It would be good if a few people could give some feedback on these ideas.

You need some way of putting the focus on the up and coming players. Maybe a weekly "Players to watch" or simmilar for each game by those in the know. Alot of people might not follow the comp closely but they would be interested to keep an eye out for the next Marshall, T.Smith etc

Yeah that is a great idea. There will probably be one or two things happening next year with a focus on the top players in Premier League and Jersey Flegg.

Yeah there are plenty of people who want to see Premier League on tv. Hopefully it will happen in 2006 or atleast.

Any more ideas from anyone?

maybe a few stats like top goalkickers, also maybe you could catch a little footage of a try or conversion or whatever if possible! :)

Also maybe a thread at the start of the coming season for the fulltime squads so we know the complete squads etc.

Top poinstcorers and tryscorers for Premier League and Jersey Flegg are shown in the NSWRL and Jersey Flegg sections of LU. Click on a club and it's shown under the ladder.
Premier League squads for 2005 are also shown at the moment, and next year the Premier League and Jersey Flegg squads will be put up at the start of the season.

The ABC coverage of the Queensland Cup is pretty popular up here in QLD so maybe it could work down there. I know that I would like to see the Maggies, the Bears, and the Jets going around again..... if it happens send it to QLD

Cheers
