He scored the try earlier in the game, then did all the hard work for this opportunity, in a one on one battle with Barba on the tryline 9 times out of 10 you would expect Chambers to win that, but Barba made a great tackle

Too much is made of Chambers not passing.

1. He wasn’t even looking to pass.

2. Cronk wasn’t exactly on his shoulder screaming for it.

I agree that would of been the better option. But even then it’s no sure thing, Cronk could have dropped the pass or it could of went forward. Throw in the fact that there was no way Chambers would of heard Cronk and the fact that it all happened really fast, I’m not gunna criticise him for taking his chances against Barba
