I just watched Cooper Cronk help the Roosters to dismantle Souths, especially by blunting the running of Damien Cook, the beach sprint champion, as well as by his kicking game.

Cooper Cronk and the Sydney Roosters have nothing left to prove. They are now officially number 1 on the NRL ladder..

Putting aside my preference for a Grand Final (Warriors v Dragons would be my preference), the Storm v Roosters would make great theatre.

We can all only hope they see it that way as well. They are now the 5th team to hold that position this year, I guess the other 4 have nothing left to prove either. The Roosters are the last of the current top 5 to have made it.

Roosters play Canberra in Canberra, Brisbane in Sydney, and Parramatta in Sydney. They should win all three and stay top because Rabbits aren't going to erase the F/A differential compared to Roosters, by securing massive wins in their last 3 games. Melbourne will be either 2nd or 3rd.

I predict 1st (Roosters) and 2nd (either Souths or Melbourne) will be the Grand Finalists.

People will look back on Monday 1st October, and say that the addition of Cooper Cronk to the Roosters star studded line-up was crucial to the Roosters winning the Grand Final.
