If Cronk joins the Roosters, the 2018 competition is over before it starts

Albert, if Roosters keep that squad together I think they are a huge chance of going back to back. They have so much talent. Storm usually bounce back after they lose a GF but with the retirment of Slater and Smith a year older I'm not so sure anymore.

How do you see it?

I agree. The Storm will struggle for a top 4 spot in 2019 without Slater. I don't believe that they will have the talent to win the 2019 Grand Final.

The Roosters are a huge chance of going back to back. The outgoing players (Ryan Matterson and Blake Ferguson) are being well replaced (Angus Crichton, Brett Morris, Ryan Hall). The team even has good cover for James Tedesco in case he is injured (Brett Morris).

Trent Robinson could easily become recognised as one of the greatest coaches of all time.

My only concern is that with the retirement of Cooper Cronk at the end of 2019, the club may find it difficult to notch up three Grand Finals in a row. That will depend on who is Cooper's replacement.

Who do you see as the main contenders for next year?

Sydney Roosters will be the strongest team in 2019.

Souths Sydney should still make the top 4 again.

I think that Melbourne will make the top 8 but will struggle for the top 4 (I think that they can just get there).

The fourth position will be between Cronulla, Canberra (assuming that Josh Hodgson is not injured long term), and Brisbane -- between them making up the top 6.

Penrith, St George-Illawarra and perhaps Newcastle and Wests Tigers will battle for the 7th and 8th spot.

There is a very good probability that the Roosters will win back to back. All depends on injuries during the season -- Cooper Cronk, Luke Keary, James Tedesco, Latrell Mitchell, Joey Manu and Jared Warea- Hargreaves are the key players who must not suffer long term injuries.

Who do you see winning the 2021 season Albert?

No room for the warriors?

Without knowing each team's player squad and coach it is impossible for anyone to predict for 2021.
We know the Roosters and other clubs' playing squads and coaches for 2019, and that is why I can make predictions for 2019.
That’s no good Alby, I thought you with all your alts would’ve come up with something more troll worthy?

This thread undoubtedly peaked early in the season when people were declaring the May premiers home & hosed whilst writing Cronk and the Roosters off because of a fairly slow start.

Some of the comments after our embarrassing home loss to the Warriors in rnd 6 and then to the Dragons on Anzac Day are real keepers.

And as usual, the Shield set the standard early...

My favourite part is, "your backs are shit".

Though nothing can top his proclamation in another thread that JWH and Kasiano are about equal :D

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Your forward pack is average at best. Your backs suck and your bench is weak.

You’ve got Cronk, Keary, Latrell (honestly in 2 years he has done nothing for all the hype he gets) and Tedesco. Well the Storm still have Cameron Smith, Billy Slater, Cameron Munster, Suliasi Vunivalu, Josh Addo-Carr, Curtis Scott, Will Chambers, Jesse Bromwich, Felise Kaufusi, Dale Finucane, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, then throw in the likes of Brodie Croft, Sam Kasiano, Ryan Hoffman, Tim (undefeated in Origin) Glasby, Kenny Bromwich, Pat Kaufusi. The Storm have a much stronger side then the Roosters.

Then the Cowboys, they will be getting Johnathan Thurston and Matt Scott back and adding Jordan McLean to the team that ran through the Roosters this year.
So that's why you got lapped in the GF - you didn't play Pat Kaufusi :D
