If Cronk joins the Roosters, the 2018 competition is over before it starts

People on here are living in a dream world if they think that the most powerful team ever assembled in the NRL is not going to win the competition.

James Tedesco, Latrell Mitchell, Luke Keary, Cooper Cronk.... ..the multiple prongs of attack are just mind boggling.
Tedesco has won nothing, Latrell has won nothing, We don’t know how Cronk will go outside the Storm. Overall the Storm are still a better side then the Roosters, Cowboys are better as well

Tedesco has won nothing because he was at the Wests Tigers. Latrell has won nothing because he is not long out of playing for the U20s. Luke Keary won a Premiership with Souths. We have brought these players together with dual Dally M winner and multiple Grand Finals winner Cooper Cronk so that we can see what it is like to win 2 premierships in 5 years.

Melbourne and the Cowboys will struggle to get close to us.

Some things haven't changed since 1908. If your forwards don't win the battle in the middle, your halves will struggle to make an impact on a game. Easts will probs be April premiers, might even win the May premiership, but I don't rate their current pack in pressure situations.

Addendum: Salary sombrero.

No, no, no and no.
Souths are March premier specialists followed by us as April premier specialists.
The rest of the year, meh.

I need the roosters accountant to do my taxes, I got some shit I need to hide.

While I shake my head at how the f**k it's possible to add cronk to this roster, I'm keen to see how it unfolds. These pricks will have no excuses.

And thank f**k the 2 month ban for me is over. Less c bombs, I get it.

Correctamundo and just imagine if they only get rid of Nikorima and it's allowed!!!

Cronk shouldn't imo have been announced until the deck is cleared:

Look at it currently:

Tedesco (1million)
Mitchell (wants an upgrade will not come cheap)
Fergo (origin player not cheap)
Tupou (not cheap either)
Keary(probably on 600k but wants an upgrade)
Pearce (850k)
Cronk (1million)
Napa (700k)
Friend (not cheap that's for sure)
JWH (international player not cheap)
Cordner (would have to been on similar to Sam Burgess so 800k)

Then there is Aubusson and Gordon plus a few others that would be on more than the minimum wage..........

We are getting closer....

I am thoroughly looking forward to the completely made up analysis of what each roosters player is paid. I guess I will have to settle for this for now.

I think you can do better though.

So presently for the 2018 season the Roosters are over the salary cap? By what...about the amount of Pearce's salary?
Didn't Parra loose points for being over future salary caps.
Can you really be $1mill over the cap with the intention to get under the cap when someone in the future gets released?

THe reports are that the Roosters had $400,000 room
They had reportedly signed Cooper for $850,000

That means they have to offload someone for $450,000
Nikorima is on $350,000 (allegedly - hmmmm) so even if they unload him (and Brisbane don't want) then they have to offload someone else on a minimum of $180,000 as a replacement comes in at a minimum of $80,000

You don't need to know the actual contract values. That list of players is a fair bit more suspicious than the Storms in 09. All of this undermines fans confidence in the salary cap more than the Parra saga did. That should be enough to trigger a probing by the salary cap mob.
That said, I actually admire the Roosters slick and cunning ways. They don't do any of this without first shoring up a degree of control over the NRL (CEO, salary cap auditor, media etc, etc). The other clubs are so dumb as to let it happen.
Basically the NRL deserves the Roosters.

I like putting a price on players. We should do a thread on each team's rep status and value.
Would be hilarious what the value would be.

Just a quick one does anyone know what the cap is set at for this yr?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Your forward pack is average at best. Your backs suck and your bench is weak.

You’ve got Cronk, Keary, Latrell (honestly in 2 years he has done nothing for all the hype he gets) and Tedesco. Well the Storm still have Cameron Smith, Billy Slater, Cameron Munster, Suliasi Vunivalu, Josh Addo-Carr, Curtis Scott, Will Chambers, Jesse Bromwich, Felise Kaufusi, Dale Finucane, Nelson Asofa-Solomona, then throw in the likes of Brodie Croft, Sam Kasiano, Ryan Hoffman, Tim (undefeated in Origin) Glasby, Kenny Bromwich, Pat Kaufusi. The Storm have a much stronger side then the Roosters.

Then the Cowboys, they will be getting Johnathan Thurston and Matt Scott back and adding Jordan McLean to the team that ran through the Roosters this year.

I am no way going to zip it before I say something that breaks forum rules....

I know what I see though as do hundreds of others that have messaged and talked to me....
