i have heard that Kevin McGuinness has been shown the door by manly, he could be a great pickup

The first part of your sentence is correct, the second part is not ;-)

He's been told by Hasler that his First Grade carreer at Manly is over, finished, kaput, sayonara, finito...

I don't really rate him, sorry, but he is pretty quick and can find the try line. If he's given a release he will most probably end up back at Wests or at Souths I reckon.

Yeah, McGuinness was good but seems to have lost it then again the same thing was said about JT before Smith got a hold of him.

In saying that there are better options.

There is a young bloke in England that I don't mind the look of as a player and he is a good age to make it in the NRL. Young fella by the name of Danny Tickle. He is only a young bloke and plays second row or at lock. Can kick goals as well. Plays for Wigan so he would be hard to get but he has a lot of mongrel in him. Scored 12 tries last year.

But in all seriousness we have to keep our young players. They are the future of the club.

Jarrad Anderson.

Or maybe parra should use some of the juniors you have, instead of buying a team like the roosters (and parra during late 90's). Its not as if u have no good juniors coming through. Don't buy anyone, work with the players u got.

Danny Tickle was hunted by Halifax about two years ago because he didn't train. And Halifax are a joke Club. He has no discipline. Leave the Pommies at home.
Theres a bloke playing Rugby Union with Randwick named Billy Bainbure - a Fijian who is absolutely electric. Scored 50 tries with the Griffith Blacks Rugby Union in 2002..plus another 15 or 16 with Yanco Wamoon in Group 20 Rugby League (in about 5 games) He's as good as I've seen in the bush.

I'd say leave the Englishmen at home. They always take too long to mature and grow into the NRL. I'd like to see a FB bought and move Luke to 5/8 as my second option. But the most important thing is not to keep going for the bargain. You only get 17 players per game and they should all be quality.

25 quality players won't fit into 3.25 million hence the need for bargain buys to bolster the depth of your squad.

Name more than 4 current Parramatta players who are up to representative level.

How does not being up to representative level make them a bargain buy?

We have players the likes of Stapleton, Cannings, Petersen, Muckert, Muspratt, Thorman and Langi who have played more than 15 games of first grade and would probably would at other clubs as well. I can see many of our players who are capable of playing over 100 first grade games at the club barring injury.

But, yes, I could name more than four at this stage who could be selected at rep level. As to which rep level you refer remains to be seen.

Adam Dykes - City/Country
John Morris - City/Country
Nathan Cayless - NZ
Luke Burt - City/Country, NSW possibly
Nathan Hindmarsh - Australia
David Vaealiki - NZ
Eric Grothe - City/Country, NSW
Chris Thorman - has represented England A
Michael Witt - given a first grade berth could push for SOO
Justin Tsoulos played for Greece.

Given Daniel Wagonn's form he wouldn't be out of place as a lock or utility for Qld.

Or even ones that could be considered one of the best in their current position.

Based on current form Hindmarsh, Morris, Dykes, Grothe, Burt and possibly Wagon would be amongst the top five in their positions or close to it IMO.

Based on potential - Cannings, Graham, Vaealiki, Witt, Thorman, Muckert, Tsoulos, Armit, Tim Smith, Ryan Hinchcliffe, Feleti Mateo....

Cayless - Incumbant NZ player and former test captain
Vaealiki - Played for NZ in 2003
Hindmarsh - Robbed of a jersey for the ANZAC test but should be picked for Country then NSW and Australia for end of season tri-series tour

There are 3 for you

and for some possibles

Grothe - City & NSW
Burt - Country & NSW
Dykes - City & NSW
Wagon - QLD
Widders - Country
Muzza - country (ok may not happen but I'd love it too)
Lyon - Country, NSW & Aust (if he returns)
Cannings - New Zealand for end of year Tri-series
Vella - City
Kativerata - Fiji
