When BS leaves us, and soon I hope, who do we want.

We talk about Dean Pay and Jason Taylor, but these guys have been with Smith for so long, he may have a large influence on their thinking.

Is he is like a cancer that has infected us deeply.

When he leaves, I personally, would like a clean break and get in some new ideas, and not have part of the existing regime, that may still think like BS.

Cartwright is the assistant coach of one of the best teams in the comp and works with one of the most professional coaches in the league.

Gould wrote a article claiming that Cartwright was the next person inline to step up to coaching in the NRL. He is prolly the best guy to go for unless you want Chris Anderson at the club

Barring a huge turn around that I don't see happening the end of this season would be a very good time to cut ties with Brian.
I agree with Twizzle, when a new coach is selected I think they should try to avoide any of his Disciples.
As such either John Cartwright would be one option or even the coach of a premiership winning premier league team.
Teams that could be in the market for a new coach at the end of the season: Warriors, Cowboys, Souths so if we don't strike we might miss out.

There are many coaches I wouldn't like in Parra colours; Anderson, Langmack, Terry Lamb all the duds.

I would like to see BRETT KENNY given the job. It's no secret Kenny is looking for a full time coaching gig and is doing good things with Panthers lower grades. I think it would be sensational because you look at Ricky Stuart who achieved some good things with the bulldogs lower grades and first year in the NRL won the premiership.

I always thought Flannigan would coach our first grade one day.

He cant be learing too much from Langmack ATM.

He was one of Smiths deciples tho, or perhaps he left because he did not want to be another Smith deciple.

He did wonders with almost a completely new team evey year.

Have any of you heard what a contract is?????

Well our current coach has one of those until the end of 2006 and with the the lucrative annual sallery, Fitzy will be damned if he had to forked out a payout in the tune on 500K to say goodbye to him this year. So dream we may, it won't happen before 2006.

So now is probably a goodtime for that around the world back packing adventure that you've been craving since 95!!

Also Shane Flanagon is not at the Bunny's but is at the Roosters coaching their Flegg side, and also assisting Stuart/Cartwright in firsts.

If the coach was to be replaced then my picks would be John Cartwright or Terry Matterson. At a pinch you probably couldn't go wrong with Kevin Walters however he is in line for Wayne's job so I'd doubt it. Both Cartwright and Matterson are astute coaches and the offer something new to Parramatta. Taylor would be ok however I would question how much influence Smith has placed on him. If a new coach was to be appointed and its not likely to be soon than we need an entirely different attitude and mindset to what is here already.
